So today I found out that not even the immigration officers at the port of entries know how the laws work and they suppose to enforce them. I asked USCIS about k-3 and she told me that since I'm married I can't do that cause it's for fiance however, I should call my local immigration office and check with them. I did this and was told since I live only an hour from Canadian border I should talk with port of entry. The port of entry officer informed me that no matter what each and everyone that enters the US after filing an I-130 has to file the I-129f nobody can come here with just an I-130 that is only a petition and never goes to the NVC........ None of these people no what the laws are or how they work.

So I went ahead and just filed the I129f.....

As other posters said, this is just wrong altogether. If a petitioner is a spouse, there's no need for I-129. I-130 is enough to initiate the process, then at NVC level an actual visa application is made.

I'm the beneficiary.

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

Usman, if there is any update i think the members would post here. Asking every day doesn't make things happen faster unfortunately.

PS: and we're actually in the April thread.

So we just got to wait for the fee to change to paid, then sent off the AOS form back to NVC.

Or did you sent that as well?

If you did the I864EZ you can actually email them everything, if you can scan in your cover page and receipt and all the other required documents. I went ahead and already email them everything. I am going to just send in the updated receipt showing paid as soon as I get it. No more delays!!!! I'm ready to be with my hubby.

Oh, I meant to say that I am going to also send in the hard copies for the AOS when I mail the IV packet. That way its one packet to mail and only having to pay for shipping it once....hahaha.

And then it all stays together. Somehow I worry about things getting separated or lost. rofl.gif

Yes I did do the I863EZ but the customer service rep told me to wait till show paid then send the AOS Packet along with my tax information. I did it know you can email them as well. Where did it say that at?
