April filers:

Not a peep of a response from the media on our story? I know our problems are minor on a global scale, but do you see some of the ####### that gets airtime? Do they not agree the current sixteen-month national average for bringing a spouse over is a problem? We realize that the DACA has had an impact, but it seems that I-130s were shoved to the back of the line. Sixteen-month national average?!? I have to wait sixteen months just to get permission to apply for a visa if we want to return to the USA as a family?!? I could bring over a finacee in less than half that time.

Okay everyone... I talked to a Tier 2 rep at USCIS yesterday and told her that we've filed in April. Here's a paraphrased version of the questions I asked and her responses to my questions:

Q1: What's the status of my case?

A1: It's in the backlog (hasn't been processed yet). Unfortunately,we have had a huge backlog and because of this processing times have jumped up to approximately 9 months.

Q2: Where's my file at? Is it going to be transferred?

A2: Your file is at NBC and it will be transferred if there's a need (depending on NBC's workload)

Q3: What about the new processing facility in Kansas? Are they not going to process visas?

A3: The facility is opening in Kansas, but these type of visas won't be processed there ( I wonder what she meant by this since a few people already have received their NOA1 from Kansas!)

Q4: Can you still give me an estimate as to when will my case be adjudicated?

A4: Most probably before the end of November

And that's all. I hope what she said about November turns out to be true.

The USCIS does not process your visa... The USCIS is only adjudicating the petition to grant you an interview. It is up to the Embassy when you go to the interview.

It seems you can get all the answers you need right here. Most tier 2 operators give sketchy info. If you call tomorrow , you'll get different answers.

I talked to Tier 2 a week ago and told me the same thing, but he said that they are processing it and not on pending... my PD is 3/20/13 NBC tier 2 told me that i should be hearing something about my case by the end of october and early november... So we are definitely gonna here something soon from USCIS...

You're right. Unfortunately, I didn't note down her number. My wife also suggested that we should have asked for her number in case of future reference.

Huh? The Kansas facility won't be processing I-130s? That's totally the opposite of everything we've heard on VJ lately.

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. May be I misunderstood her statement. Also, as LoveMyTico pointed out, the facility won't be processing visas anyway. It will be adjudicating them.
