Ok...sooo I got tier 2, he said my case is still at NBC, he said to wait between 90 and 120 days to get an approval. I asked him if it was going to get transfered, and he said it USUALLY is, but it is not set in stone, he said the case could be adjudicated anywhere in the country. Then he said, now I need to go answer other phone calls, do you have any other questions? And I said, no I am just asking you this information and re-stating the info to get all my facts straight. I paid the 400+ dlls and that was cashed right away, so I feel I should at least receive some answers, since your national goal is 5 months and you are telling me to wait 9 months. I said I should at least be informed as what is happening with my information. I said that would be it, and said thank you. ...How about that? Our tax dollars working at its best....(sarcastic)

Sounds like you had a fun conversation.. Haha.. My congressman wrote me but didn't give me any info I didn't already know., it was kinda pointless

I was able to reach our Congressional liaison in the Memphis USCIS office. Below is her response. Im not sure about the website address, it may give you what the National Benefits Center is processing currently, as far as the date a petition was filed. That can give you a clearer indication of when your might be approved.

If there is anything else I can do with any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Not all Petition for Alien Relative (I-130s) are processed locally. The current processing time is 9-12 months. Mr. Richeys I-130 is at the National Benefits Center and is in initial review.

So basically they just told you what you already knew.... the sad thing is that there is no one to whom USCIS responds to and we are stuck....far away from our significant others.... i should just leave the country

But understand that it was my local office giving this info (which they are really at 9-12 months)...

I talk to tier 2 at CSC that told me 6-9 months

Talk to another that said 6-12

Another that told me 5-6

Basically depending on which office you talk to determines your answer.. IF my petition was at my local office 9-12 months would be about correct.. With my petition stuck at NBC then I do not have a clue because they aren't processing any yet!!!

Just talked to tier 2 he told me to wait till nov 15 and then call. He said It will be around late nov early december when i will hear anything regarding my case. He also told me it will stay at NBC unless they need something from me it usually does not get transferred to field office. Two more months to go!! My VJ timeline also says around early december :/

So they are giving everyone a different answer :/ no good. I was told 3-4 months more....so like December, early January.

I feel like the USCIS had a Town Hall meeting and told every department to change the wording for all the responses. Some offices say 12 months for processing, other offices say 6 months from the date of this response, others are saying 3-4 more months, others are saying call back on November 15th.. It is all the same its called

"THE RUN-AROUND" and we have no choice but to take all they dish out... What a helpless feeling

What if we all regroup (all those with pending I-130) at the NBC in Lee's Summit MO and have a mass protest demanding timey service from USCIS. This would draw media attention and those stupid politians to look into our demands. I am ready to do this if we can find committed members - a large group of at least 100 people.

We should not just fold our arms and let this government agency treat us seeking legal path for our spouses this way, when they can even track illigal immigrants down.

I would love to do that but I have to save my time off for visits to Costa Rica... hmmmm... what about everyone calling their local CBS news station. The one in Philly is pretty awesome.( CBS3) Maybe if we all call the same network, they might have a story

@LoveMyTico: If we cannot regroup, I like your idea of all of us calling one network station and I am sure they will make a story out of it. If we agree to call, we should all do it the same day and express of frustration with USCIS.
