I say May+ because that is when they started sending files to the Kansas facility. No other reason. I know my file is still in Missouri. I guess I should have clarified that. And of course I would be happy for ANY approval.

Really hoping for some kind of movement this week... I agree with all of the above, it's the feeling of being in limbo that is so soul destroying. I wish they'd just tell us what month we'll get NOA2 so we having something to look towards, even if it is a while yet I'd rather know and be able to count down...

Hello y'all... I ve been following with this forum for almost 3 months.. Sharing your frustration as well.. Then decided to write hoping that this would ease some of my frustration. This waiting is killing me.. Literally! I lived in the states for 7 years .. Pursuing my phd.. Since I had the 2 years home residency requirement.. I had to go back home and finish what is left to fulfill the condition.. Separation has been a seriously difficult thing! It is crazy how they dnt let us visit our spouse at least while our cases are pending!!?? I wish someone could give me an answer!!!:(

Our life is on hold and painful now too. We are strong in our love but still even 3 hours a day on the net is in its self a painful situation.

Yes it is crazy that the K3 visa are so hard to get. I think that our government thinks we are all covered by that option and do not understand that we are being cheated out of our rights by the USCIS. A catch 22. I'm sure it is intended to be used by us that are caught up in this forever on hold with no updated information hell. Congress did make it an option with out a filing fee to boot. I have been in total shock since the first time I tried to log on to my case on the USICS site.

I wish the conversation I see were of people bubbling over with excitement and anticipation of their pending life together in the USA. But it is pretty cold helpless feeling most of the time. I think it would be good to share some other things not related to the wait also.

Ummm am I really seeing only 2 .. Only 2 VJ people approved this month?!? One per week?!? ... Umm there is over 100 people in front of me on VJ!! So another 100+ weeks at this rate.. Honestly #######....

The positive part of me is saying that we will start to see lots of approvals this month and that's why they got a bunch of the K1's done to concentrate on the IR1/CR1 petitions. I also think that most of the NBC has been on holiday over the summer and that's part of the backlog...

Don't ask my why, or what i'm basing this on. As with all of us, it's just on thin air!

EDIT: oh and I also saw a couple of people last week on the forums who got NOA2 but haven't updated their timelines, so don't take those figures for gospel!

ok, I'm going to say this only for the sake of keeping myself from freaking out... hahahhahaa and its Monday morning and I want to try and be positive

I read on another thread that MAYBE they are using the files for training... so maybe ( just maybe ) because they are training, someone else has to review the files first. And once they get the second review, they will release them....

I am trying to figure out why they think it is smart to hold off on the backlog processing.... it doesn't make sense why they wouldn't want to continue processing while the new people train...

I also read on another thread that Division 8 at the Kansas facility is due to open on Sept 28th. I am hopeful that they will get all these files out the door......... but then the NVC process is worrying me. I hope they hired some experienced people for the NVC otherwise the wait for that will be painful...
