Well I'm going to echo everyone's mutual opinion here, this wait for a visa is beyond stupid. Here's a quote from an article in the news tonight, "It was unclear what specific instance Coburn was referencing as possible grounds for impeachment, although he mentioned that he believes Department of Homeland Security officials have told career USCIS employees to “ignore” background checks for immigrants". So if they're ignoring background checks, then what the hell????

I spent my career in the Army serving this jacked up administration...pissed is not even close to what I'm feeling.

Just need to vent a little frustration today. I'm in a group on Facebook and someone posted today that their K1 visa was approved yesterday after 52 long days!! Humpf!!! I know I am in the same boat as everyone here...waiting for my NOA2. 116 days and waiting to be able to be with my HUSBAND, not my fiance, but my husband. I want to be able to be happy for them but it just makes me crazy! I actually cried at work today talking about missing my husband. Ok...well I guess that's enough of a rant for today.

@ deltagal, i understand how you feel, the same happens to me every time i check the K1 forum, it is not acceptable that USCIS gives priority to K 1 filers. It is frustrating how much longer we have to wait just to get NOA2. Let's be patient one day will be our turn. I think there is nothing we can do about it, every time I have called the 1800 customer service they are not able to give me an answer, when I ask if my file will be transferred to my local office which is Los angeles, their answer is that if the file gets transferred I will be notified. four months since my noa1. I hope to hear something before my six months.

@amveam, my husband was so sure we would hear something by the end of this month, which when we filed seemed to be just about right. I hated telling him it will more likely be the end of October (6 month mark)before we hear anything. We were really hoping he would be here by the end of the year but now that's not looking very likely. But I try to remain hopeful. I think the other thing that worries me is when in September will the new facility get working? If its not until the end of September I wonder if we will even get our NOA2 by the end of the year, with all the backlog they have piled up not doing anything for the last few months. UGGGHHH!

I've missed it if you've mentioned it earlier - was your file sent to this new facility?

I'm the beneficiary.

I'm not sure it'd make any difference for filers whos files are already in field offices.

According to the multiple tier 2's we've spoken to, we are still sat at NBC...we actually WANTED our file to be transferred to our local office as Denver's processing time is actually ok... but sadly not. It's gathering dust with everyone elses at NBC.

I'm not sure it'd make any difference for filers whos files are already in field offices.

I don't think any April filers on here have been transferred to a local office though? (Not to my recollection...)

If we're operating under the assumption that files are transferred to local offices 2 month after receipt, June figures of files being distributed to field offices would relate to a number of April files as well, i suppose. If it takes them longer - no. And also, would all people even know their file was transferred?..

I'm the beneficiary.

Well I am just going by the fact that no tier 2's have confirmed our file been transferred, and I know a number of people have asked on here too.... but then again, I know that the tier 2's talk out of their *** the majority of the time, so as with everything USCIS-based, we are just guessing out of thin air! :)

there is one more school-of-thought here on VJ that according to their guessing::

NBC kansas is just another NBC same as NBC missouri, and this new NBC will filer and send i130s to local offices,

It's just another NBC office to filter the petitions.

It isn't taking place of local offices.

If any thing like that were to happen, it would be posted here:

So just for grins, I called today and opted for a callback. I did get called back in about 30 minutes or so. So i requested information about if/when my file was transferred to local office. She then proceded to ask me where I got information that my file was transferred. I told her my laywer suggested it and also I mentioned the USCIS memo that was put out sometime either end of last year or beginning of this year that stated that files were being transferred to local offices to relieve workload at national offices. She said that she didnt see anywhere in my file that it was transferred. I asked if it would be transferred to the new office opening next month. She again said that she didnt see any notations that my file would be transferred. I wanted to go on a rant about the k1's, but opted not to. I cannot believe that this process cannnot be streamlined and almost all paperwork could be done online. I read alot of RFE's being sent out from USCIS but never being recieved. This should just be a simple pdf file that can be emailed and the response could be submitted online. Should be completely online, digital process. I suppose though, that it would cut some of the workforce and the unions would not allow that. Maybe that is why the process is stuck in the last century. !!!!! I really wonder if they have been holding most of the I-130's on the shelf until the new office opens.....
