09/03/12 - Introduced through mutual friends, started talking on Facebook
12/25/12 - Married in Egypt
04/15/13 - Filed I-130
04/23/13 - NOA 1
05/31/13 - Second trip to Egypt and actual honeymoon in Sharm El Sheikh (left Egypt 06/29)
08/15/13 - Called USCIS for expedite request.
08/16/13 - Sent emails to both state senators and mailed a letter to state congressman.
08/21/13 - Call from congressman that letter is being forwarded to a different congressman. Mailed letters and evidence of situation in Egypt to senators
08/27/13 - Was told the congressman's office would make an inquiry about our expedite.
08/29/13 - Received e-mail that my congressman's office had filed their own expedite on our behalf on Tuesday and would notify me when they hear anything from the NBC.
08/30/13 - NBC responded to congressional inquiry. Could not give a date of predicted approval, but our inquiry was handed over to the expedite team for review and a decision.
09/04/13 - EXPEDITE APPROVED!

Or maybe Sally forgot she left the coffee pot on when she was talking to Suzie.. The coffee pot caught on fire and burned half the files.. Now they are having to print them out and start from fresh?

This one could be a reality. I remember reading a thread where there was a plumbing issue at one of the service center and 100/1000 of petitions were useless. I also think we might have been caught on the flooding that was in Missouri last week. Who knows...

This one could be a reality. I remember reading a thread where there was a plumbing issue at one of the service center and 100/1000 of petitions were useless. I also think we might have been caught on the flooding that was in Missouri last week. Who knows...

Just wanted to post and say we got our case complete at NVC on Monday. Now we're just waiting for our interview to be assigned!

Hopefully USCIS picks up the pace and starts approving people, it sucks to see so few approvals on the list. sad.png

For your reading entertainment. All I have to say is.... The USCIS better get up on some approvals. Leaving the I-130's sit in a box is not acceptable. The K-1s are still getting approved left and right.

Hi fellow April-filers. Just checking in as I got back from the USA yesterday from visiting my husband for 2 weeks. It was so hard to leave, as usual, with tears at the airport... We bought a couch, rugs and kitchen equipment for our new place whilst I was there (which I of course won't get to enjoy for some time yet!)

We updated my hubby's address with USCIS whilst I was there, and received a letter from them a few days later. Even though we knew it was just a written conf of the address-change, we were praying it was something else as we were opening it! Our 'last updated' date on the USCIS website has changed to reflect this address-change too... (I haven't been assigned an Alien No yet though, as that section was blank on the letter.)

REALLY am praying that we get NOA2 this side of Christmas... :(

I talked to my husband today and he told me it probably won't be safe enough for me to visit Egypt for a good long while, possibly up to ay ear. He lives in downtown Cairo and even he hasn't been able to go out much with what is going on.

We are just hoping and praying we will get our NOA2 soon.

Sucks to think I probably won't be able to to Egypt in December for our wedding anniversary like I was planning.
