We have had the Alien number change for 50 Days now, nothing else.....

from what i understand, the alien number thing is a computer error and they send it to everyone who files for an I-129F. your spouse likely still doesn't have an alien number.

Filed I-130 April 8th, NOA1 received April 15th . Supposedly at the NBC now. Have heard nothing. Just makes me crazy that the information on USCIS is so inconsistent and not current. Some say that I-130's are going to local field offices but further research on USCIS only shows a couple of them actually handling I-130's. Processing times show "effective as of May 31, 2013" for Vermont Service Center but don't show for any other office processing I-130's for spouse. At least when my USC hubby was waiting for his PR card for Canada he was able to live with me here while waiting. All he had to do was show proof that he had applied for PR here. I can't even cross the border to buy milk until approved because they flagged my passport. I made the mistake of being honest and telling them I was planning to immigrate. Bureaucratic red tape makes me nuts. At least I didn't listen to the the first person I spoke with months ago that told me I needed an I-94 to enter the US, even after I told her I am Canadian and we have a treaty with the US that doesn't require us to have a visitors visa to go to the US. I swear many government workers are banned from knowing anything outside of what is "on the form". Left hand doesn't talk to right hand. All very frustrating!

Oh well, they say "waiting is the hardest part". Got that right!!!!

You know days like yesterday I get upset because I see my paycheck.. 23% income tax then 8-10% sales tax.. Property tax ect and some reason can't get a I-130 under 4 months!! I just think maybe I need to go fire some politicians..

But I remember reading somewhere that immigration operates with it's own money so knowing I-130 filing fee $420 and amount of receipts received in April 58,379 = $24,519,180 in one month.. That is a lot of money for one month!! If it took 30 min average per I-130 working 8 hours per day 40 hours per week 4 weeks per month .. One employee could do 320 I-130.. It would take 183 employees.. Lets double that number for the people answer phones ect.. 366 employees!! Let's pay everyone $100,000 per year or $8,333 per month.. Employee cost is $3,050,000

$24,519,180

-$3,050,000

= $21,469,180 profit for month of April and everything done within 2 weeks..

No excuse for 4 month wait time except greed if you look at it this way

Finished for now!!

Hold on, you forgot to add in the 2 mandatory 15 minute breaks per 8 hour shift and a 30 minute lunch. Right there is an hour... now add on those few extra bathroom breaks/smoke breaks and Sally stopping over at Susie's desk to chat it up about the weekend. Hmmm. add in a few unnecessary meetings. Vacations.... You can maybe count on 3 good hours of work per day. I hate to be so sarcastic, but i think there is some truth it all this. and yes, we did pay a fee ( and pay tons of taxes).... All I want is services carried out. I want what I paid for in a timely manner. Not too much to ask. 6 weeks would be ideal, but I'd go as far as 4 months for a backed up system. I did not count on a notice being sent saying processing times are 6 months longer.

The response to my email this morning to the advocate in Bob Casey's office was a reply with the link I already received yesterday from the USCIS. They have nothing more than I had. It goes to show you, Immigration does its own thing. I am afraid to tell my husband about a possible longer delay. I feel horrible.

Tier 2 told me that if you are living in the US (the petitioner) your packet will most likely be processed at your local office

Tier 2 cracks me up. Do you think they rotate the script? Monday and Tuesday they tell everyone that they all get transferred.. Wednesday and Thursday they tell everyone you only get transferred if they need extra info and Friday is a free for all... Spin the wheel and pick your answer.

I feel like they haven't been processing ANY or VERY FEW I-130's.... K-1's flew off the shelves. Now... maybe they are at a point where they FINALLY realize they better get their butts in gear and process all the NBC files.

Our MSC numbers all have a code that tells them when our 5 month mark is. I guess we have no choice but to sit and wait... as we already have been.
