April 2013 I-130 Filers

You know, with all due respect, looking at your signature i don't see how the K3 has sped up the process. The timeline seems very similar to people who only filed the I-130.

considering I waited 11 months for the USCIS to approve me . I also got my I-130 case number the same day and my IIN number. There are still people waiting for their case number who were approved a month ago...

I hadn't logged into this in quite a while, was trying to I don't know chill and stuff, but logging in to find your case being approved has actually made both my husband and I very happy, like I literally texted hom "LMT (short for lovemytico lol) was already approved, and is on the nvc stage as well!" lol, We're waiting for our appointment date in the embassy and that's it. I'm pretty freaking happy and hope everyone else who is an april filer is already on this stage as well!

I'm a may filer and STILL not approved.....did an expedite request and apparent my case has been placed on a processing hold because of background and security checks... This is never ending torture

Called NVC today..very nice woman on the phone...I have been given a case number for K3, but have not had one assigned for I-130..was told 30 business days...i imagine it could be sooner. i will call again in a few days. Progress..finally.

if you keep calling you might get a case number for the I-130 too. Mine were issued on the same day.

I would think they would have given me both case numbers if they had them, but who knows. I will try again Thursday morning. I need some good luck! It would be nice to get case completed and an interview by end of July.

Yes I think expedite was a mistake at this stage. I did the same one. Case on background checks now. I have even stopped checking my status now I have lost that much hope

I'm still waiting too. A year of waiting, on the very first step, is such a load of #######. I feel like my file has just been dropped behind a desk. I'm sorry you're in the same position.

For my husband and I it has been a year already since we filed but last week we finally got our case number through the NVC and paid our fees (they received the approved from USCIS rather quick but it took them forever to give us a case number-close to 6 weeks). Now I'm looking into the AOS documents to sign and send and hopefully we can get this I-130 going! I feel for you LoveMyTico because I can see your process has been taking a long time!

Finally approved..while visiting my wife...initially they responded to my request saying I had to wait 60 more days..but yesterday they sent the notice that case was approved one day short of a year...still is better than keep waiting..so on to next step...FINALLY
