29 days to get a case number for K-3? or the I-130? I thought your K-3 was sent right out. That is the way it usually happens. But I guess you weren't really expecting the K-3 to get to the embassy??

I was approved Tues the 18th. I'm going to start calling Monday. But yesterday I did send an email to the NVC asking if my case was transferred since I received an email from TSC saying my case was no longer at their facility, that it was at the NVC and I need to contact them.

29 days for the 130. Got the case no. for 129 in a couple of days!! You SHOULD get an email from NVC telling you they have sent 129 to the embassy for processing. This will include your new case no. and to do the 160 online.

I hate to RUSH time but I want to fast forward to next week... I am on hold with the NVC now so far 30 minutes on hold... I want just ask and see what they say because I am the most impatient person EVER

They told me yesturday my I-129F was terminated and then after I called back they told me it is undergoing administrative processing.

Today they told me it will be sent to the embassy next week for visa processing.

Don't worry about what they say! Just "wait" and see!!!!!

IF I learned one thing from this entire process... its that the people who answer the phones have no clue what is going on and they shouldn't even be answering the phone in the first place. I'll wait for sure ... because if it is taking 29 days to even receive the I-130. The K-3 will already be at the embassy. And Costa Rica is super easy to deal with. I feel good about the K3. I don't want to JINX myself but for once I have a good feeling

Oh yea yea, I saw that. But I need my husband's passport number and at the moment his cell is broken. Should be getting it back today so he can send it to me. Sux cuz I am used to texting back and forth all day long and right now I am limited to evening calls to the landline cuz he works outside all day. I'll get it from him and then check it out. Thanks for posting it !

Write a letter and email it regularly. The one that got most attention for me was when I emailed the letter at 8am then again at noon. I sent it with a read receipt request so I knew they read it. When I copied Donald Neufeld ..that is when people started noticing . Send the same letter to the same people.

It is horrific how they make us beg and then the same service centers are processing files from September. its hard to be in the NVC thread because there are people getting case completes who filed in June. Sorry, but I'm not over being pissed off that my file took so long to approve.

And now that I think about it... I sent the letter to Rendell.jones@dhs.gov the morning I was approved and he read it early i the morning right after I sent it. I sent the letter but forwarded the response I got from SCOPSSCATA saying they were researching my case and would get back to me... I asked how long does it really take to look in to my case? It is ridiculous that I have to wait 11 months..blah blah blah That night i was approved. So who ever he is, it seemed to help.

I just received reply from Mr. Rendell L Jones 30 mins after I sent email to him. Hope this will work today or early next week

Posted this in NVC thread, should have posted it here. For LoveMyTico and etrangais in particular. I've just rec'd an email from NVC telling me the AOS invoice is available and to fill in ds261! I was told yesterday it would take 2 weeks to get it onto their system! Confused.com!! Still going with 129. Think it will still be faster, would not have to wait as long for interview, I think! What do you think guys?

My opinion.... Go with the K-3. Who cares about the money? I sit here and read all the time wasted on the NVC thread. I personally would rather spend the $1000 and adjust while I'm with my husband than wait another 4 months for these fools to get my paperwork through the system. All the problems they are having with paying the fees and the waiting game... NO THANKS

Let the bills sit... they will hold on to your I-130 for a year. IF they close te K3 unexpectedly.... then go ahead and pay the fees...

Tico girl...do you already received your letter from USCIS saying you have been approved? I got approved 19 but havent gotten anything in mail yet. Did you call NVC...are they helping you or still saying to wait 2 weeks?

Just now I received the emails stating my cases have been shipped to the NVC. I am surprised it happened this week. Shocked is more like it

I did not receive the approval hardcopy yet

NVC told me it wasn't there this morning but I really just called this morning to feel them out . I was on hold 30 minutes before the call was picked up

Yes, LoveMyTico, we're still going with 129, have just been talking to Noel and he agrees. Need to find out how long it takes from medical to interview in London, anyone any idea? I suppose every case is different.
