So I got a call from Senator Ted Cruz's office today. I had about a 30 minute conversation with his representative. The way she spoke, it sounded like she may have worked for USCIS before. She said the adjudicators were not happy about having to shift their attention to DACA and dream act petitions..that it came from the top. She also seemed adamant that she knew that there were no July filers being approved, that I should not believe what I read on THIS website, that there is alot of misinformation. I am not sure why i would not believe the first person reporting of approved cases...but she essentially said that background checks do take alot of time and she also said that filing a K3 with a I-130 is a bad idea. that it actually takes longer because they have to wait for the k3 to be transferred and matched up. So I am not sure what to think. I dont think she would have an angle or anything to gain in not telling me straight. I dont believe that July filers arent being approved. So I guess it was almost a pointless conversation because in the end, I am just waiting more. I told her that our problems need to be addressed in any kind of "immigration reform" and she agreed. But I am leaving tomorrow to meet my bride in Prague for one week, so I will be glad to leave the stress from work and this wait and just rest in the arms of my wife heart.gif

We probably spoke to the same lady at Sen. Cruz's office. She was nice enough, but was pretty clear she didn't have any info. She also had mentioned not to believe everything I read on the internet. I wouldn't put too much stock into it though.. my thought was that they don't have any information, and are trying to rationalize delays through any means to placate people calling the office ("adjudicators were not happy about having to shift their attention to DACA and dream act petitions..that it came from the top", "she knew that there were no July filers being approved, that I should not believe what I read on THIS website, that there is alot of misinformation", " filing a K3 with a I-130 is a bad idea")

Stay strong!

Anyone who has gotten an RFE before, how long after that were you approved/denied? And is there another outcome, like has anyone gotten a second RFE? Just curious while I wait for the immigration gods to decide our fate :)

I got an rfe, they received our missing (LOST) documents on January 27th, that's what it says online when I check my stat. No news so far. They say that after they receive the rfe response it takes up to 60 days until a decision is made....then comes the Nvc process....be prepared to wait some more. Good luck.
