That Wikipedia article was interesting concerning FBI "Name Checks." Seems like that it is another log jam that causes extended waiting and there has been criticism even from the courts related to the delays it causes us. Yet USCIS argues that it is necessary to the national security and public safety. Whatevs. I submitted an email FOIA request as described by the FBI. Hope i get some info!

DVman,

Can you keep us posted whenever you get a response for your FOIA request? I received the same standard response from the congressman's office today before stumbling across this thread. I want to make a FOIA request and thought I'd ask for your experience first.

I just received a reply to my inquiry to TSC on DEc 31st... ( yea DECEMBER 31st)

Based on your inquiry, we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have had to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a delay in processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

6 MONTHS ??????? REALLY????????

Kaylara, I'm sure you're reading this; is there any way to get this further illustration of the pi$$ poor handling USCs are subject to by USCIS to the folks at the NYT?

A lot of the responses I've heard from USCIS have made me roll my eyes, but this makes my blood boil...

That is a sad sorry ### of a reply from a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. You should get a hold of the NYT reporter for a follow up story to expose the incompetence and deception of a government agency working for you. I looked into this thread just to check on your status. Wish you best of luck

Yes but even if you dont have the original one, call the district county clerk and ask for one. As long as you have the case number or the names of the people involved, they should be able to send one to you.

I just read a friends post on Facebook. Icey nasty roads in the Dallas area.... How cool for all of us waiting so long to TSC to issue an approval. They probably have a snow day today! Also, I read a post on the spreadsheet thread about a July filer who got transferred to TSC on Jan 30th and just got approved yesterday. ####### is that? The post read " I can't believe I got approved in only 11 days" I almost threw upranting33va.gif

What the hell is going on ??? I guess the USCIS was instructed to process the recent transfers to fix their numbers. It just gets better and better everyday !!

Sorry, but I can't be positive about this. cray5ol.gif

What can I say other than I continue to watch all the monthly threads, and it breaks my heart to see you guys held up in limbo like this. I'm sorry my post caused you griefcray5ol.gif

At one point, everyone around me was being transferred and we were the last, or one of the last from July to get a transfer, and that was so depressing.... and then to get the approval quickly left me dumbfounded! My joy was never without thought of all earlier applicants such as yourself, and how unfair and messed up this process currently is. I check this forum every day just hoping to see your approval come through, along with the others who still wait!

I'm rooting for you and my heart truly goes out to each of youheart.gif

So here it is

Today is 10 months since our NOA1

I was told 6 months when I first sat down and completed the package with my lawyer.

There is a HUGE Snow storm coming tonight into the Philadelphia area.. I'll be at home tomorrow for sure. I hope Texas has clear skies and all the employees are working at the TSC.

Monday is a Holiday. All that means to me is another day lost for processing.
