Okay, so it's been 3 months to the day since my NOA1, and yes I'm twiddling thumbs. Does anyone know if there's a number that is not the 1-800 to Customer Service? I'm living in Colombia and still have to pay for the 800 call, and unfortunately when I'm using a calling card to save some money, 800 numbers that are dialed are regularly disconnected. I spent an hour and 15 minutes on hold the other night only to be disconnected when I was transferred to the Tier 2 rep.

Also, does anyone have any insight as to processing times for the NBC?

Thanks all

ummm... read threads on here about mentioning you have a pending I-130. It might cause more harm then good. Read first....

and for the Volume stats..I have a question...

ALL OTHER is referring to anything other than I-30's ? Correct? if that is correct, Philly Field office isn't doing too bad.

825 completions and around 1100 receipts. They aren't too far off. YAY !!

I just found out that someone stole my identity. I don't know how they got my social security number... but they had my debit card and tried to purchase a website... I won't even tell you the name of it... UGHHHH and they also made a purchase at Cabelas.com...I saw a foreign exchange fee of $3. I was like... Hey , I wasn't traveling YESTERDAY.... WTH ?? ? ? Had to put credit alerts on my number and cancel my debit card.... GRRR just another hassle I dont' need.

Yep I'm only going to mention it if explicitly asked (I've read a lot, don't worry) - will treat it like one of the many other POE's i've done. It's only if I'm one of the unlucky ones that goes to secondary screening that I may need to talk about it. Fingers crossed it won't even be talked about though!

I'm also living abroad with my husband and I didn't get expedited either. Unfortunately, not everyone does. sad.png

Also, you should use Skype to call USCIS. Calls to 800 numbers are FREE. I once spent 2.5 hours on hold and got disconnected. So frustrating!

Tier 1..

I can not see your personal information only basic things.. I said what is a tier 2.. He said tier 2 has access to that but doesn't have access to what stage your application is at.. I said ohh it would be fun to talk to tier 2 go ahead and transfer me smile.png

Then talked to tier 2...

1. Weather in California is great

2. Processing times are 6-9 months right now because NBC is majorly backed up

3. My application will not go to local field office unless I need a interview

4. My service request process time is 3-4 months (I filed it April 10th) and it is running late also

I had some other questions about name changes blah blah because we filed before all was done.,. He told me to quit worrying that I have nothing to worry about..

Then said have great day.. Hugs and kisses..

Joking he didn't give me hugs n kisses.. Maybe on the next call! Haha

Thanks very much TimandAna for this update and for your humour. dancin5hr.gif

I don't want to even say how much the flight cost to travel in August (!!!) but we miss eachother so much and it was the only time I could take off work between now and christmas, so had to make it work. Won't see hubby again until Christmas time after this trip sad.png

Just a bit scared about POE being a pain in the bum, but I have to be back in the UK in 2 weeks, have a return ticket, my boss wrote a letter saying I have too much work to do to not come back (haha) so I hope I'll be fine!

Looks like we're trading places, Katie! I'm heading to Germany in a week, to spend 10 days with my hubby after almost 5 months of separation. So looking forward to that!

But it does start to look like our grand plans of having him in the US for good before Christmas are more and more unlikely. Which means he might have to visit at Christmastime - I'm interested to hear how your POE goes with the I-130 pending, because I know he's nervous about traveling while this process is underway.

Safe travels!

I'll let you all know! I am hoping it will be ok (never had a problem on all the other 15-odd times i've gone over there) so will treat it in the same way. I'm transferring at a POE I never have used before though, so who knows!

I had hoped I'd be over there by Christmas too, but there really is no chance I don't think. My work contract expires in March next year, so I just pray it's done with by then (don't want to go through the pain of finding a new job, just to leave again shortly after...)

I actually want to use my airmiles to book a reward flight in April 2014 before they run out (only a limited no of reward seats per flight), but am even afraid to do that with all the backlog currently.... Anyone reckon it will take longer than that?! Advice?

It drives me crazy to hear that the NBC is backed up 6-9 months for processing, only to see that K-1s are getting done in a little over 90 days. Sometimes I have to ask, "Where is the justice?"

It makes me crazy too. The USCIS talks about doing things to lessen the time a family spends apart..... ( yea right..) Seems they got it backwards.... We are married and WE are the families kept apart by the broken system...instead, they approve the unmarried people... WHAT IS GOING ON??? I'm not saying the K-1s shouldn't be approved... I just think somebody failed to create a priority list

They way things are going... I am afraid my husband will get approved and have his interview in December when it will be super expensive for me to fly. He doesn't want to go alone and I really want to go with him... I hope its earlier so we can hurry up and file his waiver.

Once we get into the Holiday season, the processing slows down too cray5ol.gif

Just wanted to let everyone know that these petitions can make a difference if everyone takes a few minutes to get them out there. I found this petition 2 days ago and they had only 225 signatures. I started posting the link in my groups on here and posted it on my Facebook page and asked my family and friends to share the link to the petition. In 2 days the petition has gone from 225 signatures to 375. That's just in 2 days. This petition got started over a month ago and had only gotten 225 signatures. There have been 150 new signatures in the last 2 days. So again, I encourage everyone to share this link on their personal social media and get the word out. Something has to be done, even it change doesn't happen before my husband gets here, I'd like to think maybe I helped others down the road.
