it just posts the latest news. Just something else to pass the time. I was searching for a reason why the USCIS is processing so slow. Of course there is nothing posted about that.

Awesome Katie!! Wish you safe travel and tell your hubby we all praying for speedy applications and hi from your VJ blog mate..

I hope there is not another transfer to another office.. That would be insane.. But little info (yes bored at work again) that kinda supports the theory of training and not approving I-130s..

# of VJ members (with updated timeline) NOA2 approvals per month..

Jan 76

Feb 88

March 106

April 94

May 65

June 51

July 15 so far (1 week left!)

So looks like about mid to end June the amount of approvals almost come to a complete halt.. I hope to see a trend of the number of applications per week increase soon.. According to that interview the I-129 was easiest to process so maybe they are done training on them and soon be training on I-130 if that is the reason for the majorly lower trend.. Can only hope

Just remember everyday makes all us stronger couples with a long happy future with your loved ones .. Have a wonderful day

Finished for now!!

hmm, considering your stats... it does seem like processing has come to a screeching halt. SUCKS FOR US !!!

I have to remember that VJ represents a very tiny amount of the actual amount of petitions being processed at the USCIS. I still stand firm with the fact that we all paid the REQUIRED processing fee. ( yea, it is the government we are talking about ) but really? 4-6 weeks should be the max... and yes, I know that is a pipe dream... just stating my opinion ( again) Training or not.... they should still be processing at a normal rate. Don't they have processing guidleines for their adjudicators? I know it must be hard to keep up with a quota between breaks and lunch and vacations... ( grrr) I'd like to suggest that if your case doesn't get processed within a 6 week period, then the processing fee is refunded to the applicants. OR the adjudicators get paid by files they process. I'd be processing files so friggin fast if I worked there( just sayin)

Do they have to re-train the current employess or just train new hires? ( if they hired new employess at all)

I was counting down the time the minute I made my plane reservation.ClockWatch2.gifClockWatch2.gif

I'm down to 4.5 weeks. I hate to rush the time .... I'm sure when I get older I'm going to complain that time went too fast.

Being apart from my husband just seems like wasted time.

I'm jealous that you are down to 9 days !! HA HA

I hope you hear something from the USCIS while you're here in the US. I hope we all hear something soon. It would be great if I could go visit him for my birthday and celebrate the approval too. ( ahhh wishful thinking...but trying to be positive:clock: )

I'm happy for you all and jealous at the same time that all of you are able to go visit your spouse. My Bday is August 1 and anniversary is Sept 18th. I can't visit my husband for neither event. I have to wait until later this year. sad.png first anniversary apart.

There are also official statistics like this - you can see national volumes and how many applications were received and processed each month up to May currently. It looks more like, yeah, they get more than they process, but still process quite a few.

I think you should really stress that you've applied for an immigrant visa and it means you're trying to do it the right way and not screw it up by being in the country illegally (with all the consequences like being unable to work normally, etc.).

And yeah, costs an arm and a leg. Lol. My husband also wants to come see me in August.

I'm the beneficiary.

ummm... read threads on here about mentioning you have a pending I-130. It might cause more harm then good. Read first....

and for the Volume stats..I have a question...

ALL OTHER is referring to anything other than I-30's ? Correct? if that is correct, Philly Field office isn't doing too bad.

825 completions and around 1100 receipts. They aren't too far off. YAY !!

I just found out that someone stole my identity. I don't know how they got my social security number... but they had my debit card and tried to purchase a website... I won't even tell you the name of it... UGHHHH and they also made a purchase at Cabelas.com...I saw a foreign exchange fee of $3. I was like... Hey , I wasn't traveling YESTERDAY.... WTH ?? ? ? Had to put credit alerts on my number and cancel my debit card.... GRRR just another hassle I dont' need.

Oh, i've read quite a few of those actually. Thanks for hinting though. I try to refrain from giving advice that i've not heard confirmed by other sources. Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4. (And i quote: "In fact, if anything, he'd probably have an easier time entering during the immigration process because he would carry his NOA1 as proof of actually filing the papers properly.") Apparently, people even chat to PoE officers about their wait for I-130.

I think honesty is the best policy in this, personally, so if it were me, that's what i would do too.

As for volume stats, i think (but can't guarantee 100%) that this is for all I-130s (because if you look at other types of visas, it just doesn't sum up). You might find some interesting official statistics for fiscal year 2012 here. In 2012 they issued 88,7k IR-1/CR-1 visas for USC spouses as far as i can see and a total of 235,616 Immediate Relative Immigrant Visas.

Office statistics are fairly reassuring, yes.

I'm the beneficiary.

I look at average approvals per month and try to understand how many more months they'd need to come to my case by also subtracting average amount received per month multiplied by amount of months that passed after my petition from current pending amount. Lol. Not a very reliable calculation but that's the best i can do.

I'm the beneficiary.

I did this math..

(Total of all receipts for 2 years) - (Total of completions for 2 years) = 1102 ahead of me

1102 / 250 (average completion in 6 month) = 4.4

Sooo maybe mid August for NOA2

That's next month!! That can't be correct or March would be getting approvals now.. Maybe it 4.4 more months after NBC gets off their *** and sends it to the local office

I do hope to get mine maybe within the next couple of weeks (fingers-crossing-March-filer), and approx. 15% of non-DCF VJ-timelined March-filers got their approvals (that estimate includes expedited because not all of them mark it).

And i add to the month they have data for, so 4.4 would then be from end of May, yes? That's the last displayed month.

I love all the math facts ... math in not my strong point. If I get an approval in September, I'd be happy. We have to file a waiver after we goto our interview. That goes to the NSC. The posted times for that is 4 months.. ( as we speak... that could change right when we are about to file)

My NOA1 was April 3rd so I did the figures at end of April and took May out of the equation.. But if it suppose to take 2-3 months to transfer to local field office.. Then need add 2-3 months to 4.4... Which would put me at a realistic approval time of 6.4 to 7.4 months.. But then your still playing guess work with NBC about when they will actually transfer it or if they transfer it..

Tier 1..

I can not see your personal information only basic things.. I said what is a tier 2.. He said tier 2 has access to that but doesn't have access to what stage your application is at.. I said ohh it would be fun to talk to tier 2 go ahead and transfer me :)

Then talked to tier 2...

1. Weather in California is great

2. Processing times are 6-9 months right now because NBC is majorly backed up

3. My application will not go to local field office unless I need a interview

4. My service request process time is 3-4 months (I filed it April 10th) and it is running late also

I had some other questions about name changes blah blah because we filed before all was done.,. He told me to quit worrying that I have nothing to worry about..

Then said have great day.. Hugs and kisses..

Joking he didn't give me hugs n kisses.. Maybe on the next call! Haha
