had a conversation with USCIS today. Apparently, my files are in two locations. My I130 is at TSC but despite the transfer email, apparently my k3 is in Missouri and was told TSC is probably waiting to join them. That's crazy. I emailed TSC director and assistant director this morning. USCIS agent on the phone said my I30 was touched this morning. So maybe the email prompted them to check. I am also going to contact two more congressman about my case...its infuriating!

Don't believe them 100%, I had a tier 2 person tell me both of my files were at the NBC just last week. I had to correct him and then he checked another screen and told me I was correct. REALLY DUDE???

I'll have to check to see if mine were touched. They weren't yesterday, but today is a new day.

I hope they are working on the transfers from Nov 27th. I stopped following the Threads after this one because it makes me want to puke.

This sounds like filing the k3 may have slowed the whole process down...hm..

Good morning everyone,

Today is the 68th day since case was transferred to TSC, the waiting is harder and harder everyday, expecting a text message, or e'mail, but nothing, I read your posts and we all understand how difficcult and how medicocre is our system, too many of us waiting to be reunited with our loved ones, but the government seems to have other priorities, hope that many of us get approved soon.

PD April 15th

Transferred to TSC Nov 27th

On sunday I'll be celebrating my 1st yr wedding anniversary alone.....while my wife keeps asking when will us be together.....and my answer is..wish I know..

Same here buddy she keep asking me too when we will be together and my reply is huh.png mh soon, my wife she keep saying "what do government get to separate us".

OK ... here is the response from the Sentor's office just now..

Jen,

I was out of the office Friday and our office was closed yesterday due to the weather. I did get a response on the I-130. It is currently pending background check clearance. This process cannot be expedited and there is no timeframe on when it may be completed. I am still awaiting a response on the K-3 you filed. Once I get an update I will be in touch.

Thank you,

Rachel

Does anyone know what's up with the background check? How long does it take once they initiate it? I know a background check can take a very short time in a normal circumstance... and I know the USCIS does things at one speed ( SLOOWWWWW)

And when my background check comes threw, is that it? I don't expect anything to come up ...

That's why I hate calling.. but remember....the numbers they post are AS OF NOVEMBER 2013. It is now February... They only read from a screen and they have no clue what goes on. They just answer the phone and answer the questions with the info they have ( which is worthless)

there are 2 things they might be looking at with us

1. My husband overstayed his B2 visa by a little less than 3 years. Left on his own. No deportation or voluntary departure orders.

2. this is my second time petitioning. All legit.. nothing out of the ordinary. Divorce decree was included in package along with the certified translation.

I had a super hard time getting divorced because I don't speak spanish and the so-called "friend" of mine who hooked me up with a lawyer, swindled me big time and took my money without filing my papers. I had to file twice. and even then it wasn't complete. Big headache !

BUT with that said, they have had 10 months to look at my background

I was told the same thing about "background check" on January 6. I know for a fact a typical background check can be done in a day and a half. I have no idea what they possibly be checking. TSC needs to immediately suspend approvals out of order, and do them in order. What a curse it has been to be stuck at TSC vs CSC. I left a message again with ombudsman office. They had given me a case number but had not assigned it to anyone to investigate. I also contacted a 2nd congressman for help. The stress of this is causing alot of pain for me and my wife. If they had just approved the k3, we would have been fine waiting together.

this is causing tons of strain on my family. My husband is missing everything here. My daughter graduates from 8th grade in June and my son graduates from high school in June also. He will most likely miss both of those .

I was told that the USCIS doesn't respond well to several different inquies from Sentors or congressional offices. That is why I have been holding back my calls. Who knows....

I wonder what my K-3 inquiry will bring.... I wish they would just let us pursue that and be done.

Now you got me worried. What did you hear about USCIS and multiple congressional inquiries? My wife is telling me to call everyone, every day and hound USCIS. I know it will probably piss them off, but something has to be done. I hope it doesn't hurt my case.
