I found this information. I got it from another thread... but I thought is was interesting. The lag in processing could be due to the USCIS holding training for more staff... not that it would or should slow down the regular workflow.. It was just a thought

December, 2012 – NBC will expand to a second facility in Overland Park, KS. Forms I-90 and I-130 will be processed and adjudicated at this facility.

2013 (exact date TBD) - I-601A Application for Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver will be adjudicated at NBC. NBC plans to train officers and staff in February 2013 for this workload.

USCIS has provided information to the public regarding the Workload Transfer from Service Centers to Field Operations (NBC and Field Offices) on its website. A link to the website location is provided:

OK, I just got a call back from someone who OBVIOUSLY hates her job, I asked if my case has been transferred yet since its been 3 months. She stated ( and not very nicely) WE HAVE 6 MONTHS TO DECIDE ON YOUR CASE ! I said, yes ma'am, I understand that but could you tell me where the case is right now. She said, ITS NOT AT THE FIELD OFFICE. and again stated the 6 month thing.. So I asked, " does that mean you have 6 months to transfer it or that you have 6 months for the whole process?" she said WE HAVE 6 MONTHS TO DECIDE ON YOUR CASE ALTOGETHER. And for anyone who knows me personally, they know I would never put up with that attitute in person.. BUT I had to bite my tongue more than once.. UGHHH..

I tip my loc hat to you. i think I would've lost my cool. it's already stressful because we are all in the unknowing position and for someone to get snappy over you asking them about YOUR information is crazy. At the same time, it's like they (USCIS) holdthe key to us being with our family. I think they know that and that's why some of them get snappy. Plus, they may not like their job..

Hi everyone.... IT'S HUMPDAY !

last night I met a couple who have only known each other for 2 years. He is from Mexico and she is a USC. He is 38 and she is only 23. They have a 3 months old son together. He entered the US about 17 years ago ( +/- a few years ) He entered without inspection back then and has been living here ever since.

Anyhow.. They told me they were just approved by the USCIS in May and were getting their I-601 waiver documents ready to submit. They showed me the NOA2. Their priority date is January 23rd and the NOA2 date is May 17th. Filed at the NBC. I was really happy to hear they got approved so fast ( considering the stories that are flying around VJ of longer processing times) I asked her many questions and she was basically clueless. She had no idea where her case was processed or actually anything about the whole thing. ( basically dumb as a rock) She only works part time as a server in a retirment home. Andshe collects some kind of assistance for that baby. I'm not against public assistance at all, I only mention that because I would think the USCIS would look at that as a bad thing. Her low income and the need for public assistance and the fact that she has nobody who can co-sponser... And they were approved.

I just wanted to share because it gave me some positive feelings.

I make WAYYYYYYY over the poverty guidelines and I have been with my husband over 3 years. They have a 14 year age difference. My husband and I are 13 years apart. He also has to file two waivers. The only thing that made me jealous is that he is here with her and I have to wait here in the US until the USCIS decides to get around to adjudicating my petition. grrrrrr

YAY you really made me feel much better!!! i make waaaaaaay over the proverty guidelines and me and myu husband been married for 3 yrs Sept and together 8. Plus, we have a son that will be 2 in NOV. I'm crossing my fingers for a quick approval for ALL OF US.. FYI, I'm a early May filer... Hurry up April filers and get approved so I can be next.. smile.png

I love the humor too. We have to stick together and keep each other in good spirits... Waiting stinks !!

Please keep us informed on your uninformative phone call. HA HA When your call gets answered, that is tier one. All they can see is what we see when we check our status on the USCIS website. They read it to you too.. the whole nine yards.. then you say... yea yea I already know that. when you ask for more detailed info, they will tell you that they have 6 months to make a decision, then you have to ask for tier 2 person and that you would like more detailed information about where your file is. They have to transfer you... they will ask more info and verify your info.. then you get transferred.. and lately... the wait is about 100 minutes so they give you an option to get a call back and you won't lose your place in line.. They do call back, at least that is one good thing.

Aug 24th I will be with my Hubby for 10 days. The perfect birthday gift to myself ( to see my husbands face) I miss him..

I live outside the USA and if you don't make US income you have to show enough liquid assets. Which is what I plan to show.

I live outside the US and since I don't work here in Canada, I got my mom to be my joint sponsor. I don't think they really care where the income comes from, as long as you show proof that the immigrant won't be a burden on the government.

Story of my life..... Hurry up and wait !!

Being bored at work just makes me more of a VJ stalker. UGH... I wonder when the approvals will start rolling in? Igor's list is a good tool but I bet half of those timelines aren't updated. It worries me that they are opening another facility to process I-130's. That means another transfer. Possibly a new box.. and who knows if they label them so they can be placed in order..... UGH....

I was counting down the time the minute I made my plane reservation.ClockWatch2.gifClockWatch2.gif

I'm down to 4.5 weeks. I hate to rush the time .... I'm sure when I get older I'm going to complain that time went too fast.

Being apart from my husband just seems like wasted time.

I'm jealous that you are down to 9 days !! HA HA

I hope you hear something from the USCIS while you're here in the US. I hope we all hear something soon. It would be great if I could go visit him for my birthday and celebrate the approval too. ( ahhh wishful thinking...but trying to be positiveClockWatch2.gif )
