Guys I want to write an email to my senator, what info should I include like my case number priority number transfer date???

don't send a letter. You will save yourself alot of time if you just call and tell them you want them to do an inquiry. Then they will send you a release form to sign and send back. They can email it and you can scan it and send it back. They can't do anything for you until they get that first. Then they send an email to the service center. Then you wait for a reply. I've gottne replies as soon as 2 days and then others took a week. That's why I say to just call. They take these calls all day long

Don't worry, even if your date was March 20th, they'll tell you some kind of bullshit answer. Like they have 5 months from the date of receipt of your petition, despite a letter from the USCIS specifically stating the opposite.

Update from the trenches:

"On January 29, 2014, your name was updated relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance."

Thoughts? It's a little different than the normal number changes that it seems like most people get before their approvals/RFE's. Anyone else gotten this before? I'm taking the change to at least mean somebody touched or looked/looking at our documents.

Congrats on your approval and all the very best for the NVC stage..... Please let us know whether you were transferred to Nebraska or Texas and also your date of transfer.....

What's wrong with the us postal service?! My documents they wanted for the rfe took over two weeks to arrive at my husbands...now he needs to add his stuff and send it off, hope it won't take another two weeks within the country sad.png. Anyway, I took on a new job starting in May, this whole thing is taking too long, I can't continue sitting at home waiting for anything at all to happen. I guess it's another month or two till the noa2, then another two months at the Nvc plus interview etc...sad.png so I'll be stateside not my early spring as we had originally planned but early fall. Great...

Lovemytico....are you seriously still here?! No news no nothing after your transfer?!

Snikwad, just a question about the RFE. Did your husband need to sign the RFE form when he sent it back with the extra evidence?

We will be away from home for a while and are afraid TSC is going to hit us with some crazy RFE request while we're gone. We were looking at the possibility of having someone else send in any extra evidence if an RFE arrives. The only problem would be if they require the petitioners signature on the form.

I'm not quite sure, but I doubt he had to sign it. Just make sure that what they requested is correct and signed if necessary. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Hi everyone,

So like i posted yesterday my wife got approved, i did try a trick that kaylara mentioned before. I called the center at my 30 day mark and showed them real concerned that i hadn't received a confirmation letter of my transfer. The lady on tier 1 was also cocerned and she couldn't get any other info besides what we normally see on the site. She then went ahead and transferred me to tier 2 and wished me luck, tier 2 has a call back option so I opted for that option, after 4 hours i got a called back from a uscis officer. After I verified some security questions she started to ask me simple questions from our file, she actually had our file on her hands and asked me where we had gone for our honeymoon based on the photos, which of course i remember the one we included was one from us at yhe bottom of the golden gate bridge. She spend about 3 minutes asking trivial questions which seemed to satisfied her. She then proceeded to say we should hear back from them within 30 days and not to get desperated. She also explained to me the reason for the three texts when we got transferred. First one is when the file gets send electronically to the center, second the actual file gets send to them, third one when the file arrives at the center. I think it might been sheer luck but also the fact that i showed real concern and throughout the whole process i was calm and was just asking them in a calmed voice the same question over and over.

I also should mention this was my second time calling in, first time tier 1 just disregarded my concern. Even after i told them i had not received the letter. Like we have all experienced before so of them rqlly want to do their job and others are just there for their check.

Which travel site was it? If you have the confirmation number you can go to the airline directly and see if your flight was booked correctly
