When I first thought about it I looked at both..

Fiancé visa .. 6 months

Wife visa .. 8 months

I saw price and paperwork and thought ohh the wife visa easier and cheaper also it only 2 more month wait no big deal..

Now I can really go crazy hearing 12 months, 14 months, maybe 2 years for us to be able to live together..

If you don't laugh then you got to cry.. I have just about decided sell everything here and just move to her.. I want children and start my family so much.. It all I dream about every day

You're right, you're right. It does seem like things change all the time with USCIS though. Maybe once CSC has caught up to the point of same-day fiancee visa approvals, they will be able to take on I-130s again!!! idea9dv.gif

You should have asked where she lived at because you would like to meet her.. If she asked if your threatening her just say noooo.. I think you need a big hug!! That was very rude of her to act like that.. Sorry you had to deal with that Jen

K-3's are pretty much done and overwith. If you file one, it will join up with the I-130 and that could slow things down. they will get approved together and then the K-3 will get cancelled. Waste of time these days. Its free to file, but IMO, might slow things down .

Keep us updated on what they say. After hearing that 12 month processing non sense it has made me furious. I wanna call too but I know I will get into bad conversation.

After hearing all this about uscis. I think they should be paid on the number of files they process

I agree, if they got paid by the file..... we'd all have our approvals by now. We did pay a fee.... I guess that is to pay for the storage of our files. can't we get a petiton together on CHANGE.ORG? This certainly needs a CHANGE

I think i did read something about the K-3's going to a different place ( don't quote me though... possibly the VSC) but then they get joined somewhere along the line... maybe you can search the forums for that topic. I would hate to be next in line for the I-130 and then all of a sudden someone comes along and yanks my I-30 to join it the K-3 and then put it back in the box all the way at the end....

Im about 113 days waiting for noa2. End of july will be 121 days and the waiting sucks. I kinda give up and my plan B is to move to her country as it was my birthcountry also.

These beaurocrats are really slow. Im sure they dont do a whole lot at work and they all work there forever until retirement and can never get fired. Thats our tax dollars at work too....

as far as I'm concerned;

if you are going to implement a policy and charge a fee.. then you better make sure the system works.

Let's start a petition on CHANGE.ORG, we can send it to Obamas office. maybe he will sign it too HAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA

Hi,

My I-130 NOA1 is 4-22-2013.

At first I looked at the government site (USCIS) and just assumed it was temporally broken, because the grafts will not work on the USCIS site. I thought it was being worked on at the time, as in maybe they are updating the reporting system. 90 days and it’s still nothing you can use. After a long search I found this site to offer the most information but it is still confusing.

The US Department of State site says that if you want to have your spouse come early and wait with you in the US then apply for a I-129F and you can get them here to wait while they do the paper work. Looking at the USCIS processing time I see 5 months for that so I sent in an I-129F to speed up getting her here even if it looks to be more expensive in the long run.

After that in checking the status of the NOA1 for the I-129F I get this notice “On June 24, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).” Since she did not have one before it looks like progress. So something happened with the I-129F while the I-130 still reads the same.

Then I look on this site and see that maybe this means something will happen sooner and then again I read that this put my I-130 at the bottom of the pile again. So what I don’t understand is this (Is every part of the USCIS system broken). Worse why does VJ still report this information the same way too on the trend charts? I think a lot has changed as of late. It looks that way or this system cycles between confused and more confused on a regular basis.

So I would ask does anyone know if the Alien Registration Number change means anything. If it does is the waiting time based on the NOA1 of the first I-130 or the new I-129F NOA1.

DId you file the I-30 and the I-129F? You can read many many threads on VJ about the K-3 being obsolete these days. You are still allowed to file it but it will most likely be joined with the I-30. Then when the I-30 is approved, the K-3 will be cancelled. Some say the stand-alone I-30 gets processed faster...

I remember seeing something about an "A" number on another thread. I think it is assigned when they receive your petition. Not sure though.. I'm sure you can get some good answers if you surf around.

ALSO, Create a timeline so we can follow your progress...timeline.gif

Very good questions!! I remember reading something similar happening.. What the adjusticater did was just merge the two together and the I-130 took it's place.. If it goes to the bottom of the pile or not (who knows).. To be honest the best thing to do is call.. Have all your info with you when you do.. The first person you talk to will be a idiot and will get you confused.. Insist to talk to a tier 2.. To be honest it is the only way you will get piece of mind..

When you call and I know you will.. I would like to know what all they say :)

I wanna know too ... but I'm not convinced that Tier 2 is above the idiot level either... that is who I talked to today. They read from a script. They say as little as possible. When you call, have your questions written down so you don't forget... and you will because the answers you get will confuse you...

Hi everyone.... IT'S HUMPDAY !

last night I met a couple who have only known each other for 2 years. He is from Mexico and she is a USC. He is 38 and she is only 23. They have a 3 months old son together. He entered the US about 17 years ago ( +/- a few years ) He entered without inspection back then and has been living here ever since.

Anyhow.. They told me they were just approved by the USCIS in May and were getting their I-601 waiver documents ready to submit. They showed me the NOA2. Their priority date is January 23rd and the NOA2 date is May 17th. Filed at the NBC. I was really happy to hear they got approved so fast ( considering the stories that are flying around VJ of longer processing times) I asked her many questions and she was basically clueless. She had no idea where her case was processed or actually anything about the whole thing. ( basically dumb as a rock) She only works part time as a server in a retirment home. Andshe collects some kind of assistance for that baby. I'm not against public assistance at all, I only mention that because I would think the USCIS would look at that as a bad thing. Her low income and the need for public assistance and the fact that she has nobody who can co-sponser... And they were approved.

I just wanted to share because it gave me some positive feelings.

I make WAYYYYYYY over the poverty guidelines and I have been with my husband over 3 years. They have a 14 year age difference. My husband and I are 13 years apart. He also has to file two waivers. The only thing that made me jealous is that he is here with her and I have to wait here in the US until the USCIS decides to get around to adjudicating my petition. grrrrrr
