So for sure the 60 day letter doesn't mean jack #######. It says nothing about processing times, yet when you call, all they say is its within processing time. I did get one person to submit a service request for my k3....if they were going to hold the I-130's for months and months, they should have been pumping out the K3's....its the reason the k3 was created! The crazy thing is that they knew back in mid 2012 that this backlog was coming and they didn't do anything to prepare for it. ranting33va.gif

glad you got the service request in. I agree. the k-3 is supposed to alleviate the long wait for the I-130. If they don't plan on processing them, then why even have them available?? its a bunch of paper trails for nothing. The people they hire to log in and file the K-3's could be used to approve the I-130's. They are really messed up over there...

Maybe the service request will get them to pay attention to your files and do something.

We waited 3 weeks for RFE to be looked at after they received our document, and today approved. No idea what to do next. It's funny when we got notice of the transfer I cried with happiness but now we have approval I feel nothing. I just know it could be another 5 months or more still.. Ugh. Hope everyone is holding up alright.

Congrats! Try and be happy, that is great news that you're approved!! It does speed up quite a bit in the NVC stage. It shouldnt be 5 months. Join the January NVC thread, lots of good info there. There are lots of little steps so it seems like it goes quick. Congrats again!

Where were you transferred to? The transfer notice had 60 day deal.

Where did you get the 60 day time frame from? My transfer notices (130 & 129) only said they will notify me and not to contact them unless it's beyond processing times for the service center (Feb date).

Yes, April 10 PD. And notice reads that "if the service center is withing processing time for your petition USCIS cannot provide an update".....so since they are only at Feb 13th it will be months before I can ask.....

Sounds to me they are back to 2yr processing times - start to finish - before a Green Card is issued. How could they say they will be back to normal processing times by May 2014?

Didn't you receive the supplement about the 60 days? It was not on the transfer notice, it was separate

tier 1 or tier 2? I wouldn't even bother with them. Just go talk to your Senator's office and ask them to expedite. Don't settle for what the misinformation line tells you !! Half the time they are clueless.

Senator's office said they cannot expedite based on this...that they also are bound by "current processing date". I think in reality, senators or congressmen/women dont have much extra power for cases...just the feeling i get.

Anuspras, congrats. next step is, you need to get ready for documents they will ask you for affidavit of support form, your past three years tax form and if you are working get paper work from you job. If you want to know more let me know. Gud luck and yes it shouldn't take 5 months get all the documents ready from now so you can avoid all delays. ask your beneficiary to get police report as well. good.gif
