Someone from May (05/23/2013) got approved at TSC yesterday. How can this be when a bunch of March and April filers are still waiting?

Because they're attempting to improve their processing time without having to actually do the work to process the files that they backlogged in a timely manner. TSC is also sending out crazy RFE's. Probably because when you get an RFE, your case no longer counts towards the processing time statistics.

They are definitely intentionally skewing approvals to fudge the processing times...I wish Congress would initiate an investigation into this!

No RFEs! We were shocked since TSC is notorious for RFEs.

There really aren't birth certificates in Japan, just family registries that list family members, their spouses, and children. We sent in the original print-out from our then local city hall with a translation. Since it listed him and I as married, I think that it helped our case a bit.

cray5ol.gif I just got off the phone with my very frustrated husband. He is so angry that this is all taking so long. He gave up his city job to work on the family farm. He sold his car and motorcycle thinking it would be better to sell them now while he has offers rather than try to sell later for a lower price. Anyway, farming is slow since they are finished with harvesting the coffee. He was just telling me he is going to look for work in the city because he doesn't have any income. He didn't think this process would take this long. His thought was to spend as much time with his family working on the farm while the papers are processing. Money is so tight now. And with his car and motorcycle being sold. He is kind of stuck way up in the mountain. The city is about 1.5 hours each way. I feel bad because I am not really in the position to support him over there. He asked me if I thought this would take another year or 2. I feel really bad because I didn't think this part of the process would take this long. I feel like this is all my fault. I contacted everyone I could think of to help. Even the new mayor in my little town. Calling our attorney won't help because I always seems to have more info than he does.

Can someone tell me what exactly does "This I130 has been assigned to an officer" mean? I received this from Senator Bob Casey's office on Dec 30th

Jennifer,

I did get an update on your pending I-130. It was transferred to the Texas Service Center. The TSC provided the following update to our office:

This I130 has been assigned to an officer. A decision or some type of action will be made within the next 30 business days.

Thank you,

Rachel

I have run out HOPE. ClockWatch2.gif This is all so ridiculoous.. And the family of losers up the street from me have all married someone just for a greencard. One of them just became a US citizen and the other one just left for his country today for the first time since he received his greencard. He will be staying for 3 months. His illegal GF just married an american the day before Thanksgiving for her greencard. and the sister got caught cheating on the victim she scammed for her greencard so I have no idea what her status is but she is still in the US. It all makes me so sick. My husband can't even come to visitcrying.gifcrying.gif UGHHHHH Im sooooo mad

Ugh, I wish I could approve your i-130 for you! Don't lose hope! Its all we have in the stupid roller coaster... that's all it is, an emotional roller coaster. You wait and wait for the NOA2 and then you wait for it to arrive at NVC, then wait more for case number! Luckily NVC is sooo much faster than USCIS but its still a waiting game. Its completely unfair that your husband cannot visit! Its ridiculous! He should be able to at least visit if he can show ties to back home, but I guess then still there is the cost factor. It certainly isn't easy being in a long distance relationship, and I feel for everyone that is doing it. Its been hard, but I can only imagine how amazing it will be once we're together. At our wedding we had long distance relationship quotes on every table, I'm going to leave some in hopes that maybe it will at least get a smile.... Crossing everything for you!

"True love doesn't mean being inseparable; it means being separated and nothing changes"

"Missing someone gets easier everyday because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will."

"Distance means so little when someone means so much."

"You know its true love when no matter how far the distance is they can still make you smile"

AND MY FAV!!

"Distance, it is a test of love, many will fail, but for those who can withstand it have the answer: true love"

Yaaaa, I'm kinda cheesy! lol
