So now we have an RFE for one of our I-130's showing up online. It is for my Stepson's application. Nothing showing yet for the Wife's I-130 or the I-129f. But maybe those will change later. The petitions were transferred to TSC on 11-18 the PD date is 4-22. I think I have read on this thread that it takes 7-10 days to get the hard copy with the information on what they want? Anyone have a feel for this? I think I know the answers just sometimes a person needs to talk about this. So I hope don't upset anyone asking question that have been answered.

Oh you just calmed my nerves a bit, I didn't know it can take up to 10 days for the hard copy of the rfe to arrive. I was worried it got lost as it's been almost a week already. Wishing everyone approvals and a great weekend.

I am sure USCIS employees are union....which would explain alot. I'm sure they have mandated smoke and coffee breaks as part of their contracts. It would be interesting to know how much time they spend in their seats vs. walking the halls drinking coffee.

yep, A union and goernment employee. That is some serious job security.

Here is an interesting article about the immigration reform and the USCIS adjudicators.

So, I decided to check my status on the USCIS wedsite last night. I was not able to log in. Apparently my password was reset by someone. Its only been a couple weeks since I logged in. So this morning I changed my password AGAIN and checked my status. It used to have NOV 27th as the last touch but when I looked this morning, it said Dec 3rd for my I-130 and Dec 2nd for my K-3. I'm not getting too excited because it was probably just someone scanning us in at the TSC since we were transferred on Nov 27th. I just thought it was weird that I couldn't log in. This happens to me alot. Does anyone else have this problem and how often have you had to change your password? if at all?

Good Luck to the filers who are still not APPROVED. THANKS USCIS for making our Christmas a happy one !!

I have had that sign on problem also. But no messages like your Dec 3rd and 4th. I hope it means something is coming soon for you. I don't want to get your hopes up too much but I think maybe your files are in the pile on someone's desk right now. I hope so

I won't believe it until I see it !

Moving on up... to the East side .... to a deluxe apartment in the sky ( someone's desk) If y'all are as old as I am, you would be singing along as you read that...LOL If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm not crazy. its just before your time.. LOL

I sure hope I'm on someone's desk. It was cold on the floor and mighty dusty.

I guess the day is almost over... The USCIS probably let them all go home at noon and they all probably took PTO on Monday. (BIG SIGH)

I think the transfers messed all that up... it depends on the transfer date. I doubt very much someone took the time to file them all by receipt date.

The vision in my head is that they are all in boxes by transfer date. Shirley Adjudicator walks into a huge file/storage room and grabs whatever box is closest because her ankles are swollen and she is due for a coffee break in 5 minutes. Then the holiday party, then Lunch, then BSing with the co-workers... Then a mandatory meeting for everyone and then another 15 minute break and then MAYBE, JUST MAYBE she will adjudicate 3 or 4 files before she goes home at 4 on the nose. Not one minute after. Add in several bathroom breaks... and conversations here and there by passerbys....

We're all screwed.

And when they come back from Holiday vacation... the countless conversations about what they got for Christmas ...

It was only wishful thinking. Although watching the government folks around me, not much been getting done for a week already.

Perhaps you should report this to the Ombudsman. Obviously respond to the RFE, but also contact them and tell them that your file was missing half of it's information. My understanding is that Texas has a history of issuing bizarre and needless RFE's. I'll see if I can find the report that says something to that effect.
