Great. Online Status changed to request for evidence today. Not sure why or what they need as we pretty much sent in everything right away. Anyone here who had this happen?

Well, it looks like TSC is working today ! Its still 4pm over there. Maybe ours is on someones desk.

At least they are looking at your file. Just curious.... did you put both birth certificates in your package ? I read a while back that some people are getting an RFE because they need both borth certs.... I think it all depends on the person looking at the file

Hope so too, but shouldn't be. We even put in a copy of the visa I had for when I used to live in the USA because of my fathers job, and we met in person in the states... We will see, of course my husband is stressed from work and the gov shutdown (af reserve) so he won't try to call now...this thing is really putting a strain on our marriage :( crossing all fingers & TOES for you!!! Fingers & toes are fine with me.

Just talked to my husband and I went on and on about all the approvals and RFE's. We are both so bummed that we got transferred to TSC ( the slowest center so far) I joke about how we have a dark cloud above us. He was cute... he told me he has a christmas present for me but since I won't be there until February, it will double as a Valentine's gift too.. I just want an approval. That is good enough for me.

Hi,

I was just wondering whether you (the petitioner) are a US Citizen? The reason I asked is that I also filed 2 separate applications in April (notice date of April 16) for my parents (I-130 and type IR-5). Both the applications were transferred to CSC from NBC on Nov 25th. Now I am just waiting to hear from them. Hope everything is ok with the applications.

USCIS Step:
04/19/2013: NOA1 for both parents
04/17/2013: PD
11/26/2013: Transferred to California Service Center

01/14/2014: Reply to RFE Received by CSC

01/28/2014: Email Update/Txt Received for Approval

02/01/2014: Approval Notice received in Mail

****** Both I-130s approved in about 9.5 months ******

NVC Step:

02/07/2014: Case Received by NVC

03/17/2014: Received Case/Invoice Number

03/18/2014: Submitted DS261

03/19/2014: Paid AOS online (one payment for both cases)

03/22/2014: Sent AOS Packages to NVC (separately for each parent)

03/24/2014: AOS Packages delivered to NVC (as per the USPS Tracking)

03/27/2014: IV Fees Available and Paid Online

04/05/2014: IV Documents sent to NVC

Hi,

Yes, I'm a U.S. citizen and the petitioner. We only filed the I-130 and still haven't received the hard copy, so we don't know the new location at this point. Obviously I have no idea what's going on with your applications, but I have a feeling you're going to hear something soon. Statistically, CSC appears to be the fastest in processing applications.

After reading your post, I think I should have put in birth certificates for my parents too. Like you said, its not required by USCIS so I didn't bother sending along with my application. I am still hoping they will process and approve without birth certificates of the beneficiaries. This will give me sometime to gather birth certificates along with other civil documents for NVC.
