April 2013 I-130 Filers

After you respond to an RFE it usually isn't much longer that your approved correct? Like is your file just waiting on whoevers desk until they receive what they need then they approve it? Correct me of I'm wrong.

Yes,the sooner you send back RFE,the sooner you will have an Approval..So after your case was Transfered,how long until you heared something on it?

Waiting for something good this week. I suppose I will be receiving the third email about my transfer sometime today. An approval right before Christmas would be a great Christmas gift.

Case was transferred on the 15th of November. We got the text/email for the RFE on the 30th.

Just received the third transfer email at 10am EST. I HOPE THIS MOVES ALONG . I won't get the hard copy until I'm home. I'm hoping for CSC. From what I read, they seem the fastest. But, knowing my luck, my file will get there and the processing will come to a screaming halt.

Ok, here is my timeline;

15th April 13 Application received at Phoenix Lockbox
17th April 13 NOA1 issued (form I-797c) assigned to National Benefits Centre, Missouri (MSC). Letter included case nos for I-130 and I-129f
7th May13 Alien Reg no. changed on I-130
14th Nov 13 Transferred to another office (E-mail)
15th Nov 13 Transferred to local office (E-mail)
19th Nov 13 Transferred to a USCIS office for processing (E-mail)
19th Nov 13 Received hard copy of e-mail sent on 19th - including statement that case is being processed at Nebraska
26th Nov 13 Alien reg no changed on I-129f

Can anyone shed any light on why the alien no on the I-129f has been changed? (We submitted I-130 and I-129f simultaneously)

I haven't received the third email yet... the second email I received said " we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office" which would be the NYC feild office.

Us too. So confused why only two emails, and that it says local USCIS. Most others received all three emails pretty quickly if I recall correct.

I received the first email on 11/15/13 - "transferred to another office." Then on 11/19/13 I received two emails within the space of an hour, the first was the "local office" email and the second was a "transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office" email. Finally, on 11/20/13 I finally received the hard copy notice (dated 11/18) that my case was transferred to TSC.

was the I-129F for a K3? because you need a copy of the receipt # of the I-130 for that?

Anyway, the Alien # change is just a bogus message that lots of people get. I got that 2 weeks after I sent in my I-129F.

Basically in your case, it means that somebody is wroking on your case, at least for the I-129F.

Thanks for your response. We submitted I-130 and I-129f at same time so not sure we needed I-130 receipt no. Good to know that at least our case is being touched. Good luck with your application too!

I received 2 emails from USCIS couple of days ago and hard copy of the transfer notice in mail today. It went to Texas according to the hard copy. I wonder what the time line is at texas.......
