it wouldn't be so bad if they were appproving the April filers at the NBC while they transfer and approve March filers. The person who planned this workflow should be fired. It would be cool if they were adjudicating April but holding off on approval notices until March is caught up.... yea yea I'm dreaming.

Oh! You thought it was planned. In reality, our petitions stagnated for months (July, August, September) before management over at USCIS figured out what to do with the monster they had created.

Ha, you had me laughing at that. I guess no-planning is a form of planning. I guess in the next 2 weeks or so, we will see if they actually will be transferring April filers also.

There are 121 pending March I-130's from this site, per Igor's list. So far, sixty March filers have been transferred. They are working their way toward the end of March, and picking up the transfer rate, but still half of March filers are still waiting.

A pattern has emerged: there is a somewhat shaky correlation between priority date and transfer date, but as usual there are a few anomalies. To early to see if there is a pattern for NOA2 for transferred files.

As for service centers, all of the February filers who have been transferred have been shipped off to NSC.

March filers have been shipped off to all three, but it's too early to see any pattern.

Veteran's Day. All government offices are closed today. No Mail delivery etc...

Nice, huh?

It'll take them a few days to recover from their 3 day weekend.

Wow the USA has A LOT of holidays...! My hubby works in retail and they only close on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving and 4th July, so I never hear when things are closed...And there was me thinking I'll hardly get any time off as I thought holidays were much worse than UK (if I EVER get there, that is )

Most companies I've worked for give 8-10 paid holidays throughout the year. My current employer doesn't observe Veteran's Day, but they give us Black Friday after Thanksgiving off instead. Fine by me, I'd rather have that 4 day weekend!

Well for me I have to work almost all or every other holiday. In hospitals its not easy to get days off.

ALOT of retailer's are open on Thanksgiving Day this year. It's sad... the people who work in retail are put in a tough spot... Most retailers make it mandatory. Last year I had a part time job at a MAJOR retailer and they told us, it is mandatory to be available all day on Black Friday. I worked half the day but I had to go pick up my daughter and they gave me a huge problem about it and said " if you can't work when we need you, then we will just go find someone who can" Needless to say, I left to go get my daughter...I didn't care what they said. They didn't fire me.

I feel bad for the people stuck in retail and forced to work on a holiday that used to be for families. Now it's all about making the most money.

I want to work at the American Embassy in Costa Rica. They get American and Costa RIcan holidays off. LOL !

Yeah, desk jobs definitely get the lion's share of holidays while retail and actual essential positions (such as hospital workers) get screwed. When I was in college I worked in pharmacy, and my store was open 24/7/365. I had to take shifts every Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc. It was pretty awful. In high school I worked for a Blockbuster that was open until midnight every day of the year, and I was always blown away by how much business we did on Christmas. It's a shame people can't stay in and enjoy the holidays with their families so that all those workers can do the same.
