A lot of action on the March filer thread, it could be said that we'll see things happening before the end of the year!. For some of us at least!

I'm PD April24 so I know I'll be last, but I will be very happy to see this thread littered with joyful posts instead of the miserable vibes of the past 6 months. Stay positive people!

Me too, I have a breakdown at least once a week. All seems so hopeless. I'm currently working a rubbish job well below my experience because no one would hire someone who's about to leave the country, and it's hard to hold on to my pride when there seems to be no end.

I regret to admit that today I took out my frustration on him, the one person who is hurting about this as much as I am! :(

Come on NOA you're killing us!

We are married 8 months today. (sigh) cray5ol.gif

Being apart definitely causes alot of stress. It makes every single thing in your life much more difficult.

In 2 weeks I'll be flying down to spend time with my husband .. I can't stay more than 11 days because I can't afford to lose my job... This will be the 5th time I've gone to visit this year. 25 times total to CR ( could be more... I lost count )

Next year we all will be able to spend every Holiday and birthday together and this waiting game will be behind us. ClockWatch2.gif

Hi People

My first comment here. I m also April filer but for my mother. Hopefully this is our month of approval.

HELLO !

Is your mother already in the US or is she abroad? I'm guessing abroad since you have been waiting this long..

I hope we start seeing transfers in the next 2 weeks for April.

Help. I've read that a lot of people got an info pass to find out what's up with their petitions. Is it really helpful, and if so, it says that you should bring all documents...my husband of course did not make a copy of the papers he already sent. The only thing we have is the case number and the noa1 info. Will that be a problem. :(

I don't mean to be a downer, but I am not optimistic about a NOA 2 until Feb/March next year. Why? I know there is a lot of activity on the March thread, but by my count there were only 17 approvals last week (see this link: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=i&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op66=All&op7=All&dfile=No&adv=). Five of them appear to be expedites!

I know that this is a vast improvement from what was happening in October. But by my count, there are about 175 unapproved February and March applications (see this link: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=3&scenter=4&option=2&sortby=2). Assuming that this is a representative sample, if they approve on average 15 per week, it will take them over 11 weeks to finish Feb and March. Round it up to 3 months with the holidays. That means they will not complete Feb and March until into the middle of Feb, 2014. That would be an approximately 10 month wait.

The only way we can expect earlier approvals than Feb 2014 is if they work simultaneoulsy on our files at NBC (that is, work on April's files at NBC while the other service centers work on Feb and March).

Very sad. I wonder if the people at USCIS will be without their loved ones this holiday season. Don't these people have a heart?

I know what you mean. I see a lot of excitement, but it's really just all transfers. If they do not pick up the speed, it's obvious what happens: they will have only slowed the growth of the backlog. If their goal is to reduce the backlog, they will have to more than double their adjudication rate.

07/29/2014 - NOA1

11/19/2014 - Transfer to TSC

12/19/2014 - NOA2

01/15/2014 - NVC Received (TSC held it for 3 weeks...)

02/19/2014 - Case no. and IIN assigned; requested embassy change

02/27/2014 - DS-261 available and submitted

02/28/2014 - AOS available and paid

03/19/2014 - AOS mailed

03/27/2014 - AOS entered into system

03/24/2014 - New case no. assigned

03/25/2014 - IV fee invoiced and paid

03/28/2014 - IV package sent via FedEx

04/26/2014 - case complete

06/01/2014 - passed interview

YES, THERE ARE MANY TRANSFERS BUT THEY'VE BEEN GETTING APPROVED AROUND TWO WEEKS AFTER. SO IT SEEMS TO BE A GOOD THING
