On second thought, the net gain of petitions has remained fairly steady. We're on track to wait the same amount of time, but we get the bonus of losing time during the holidays. Hope they offer overtime work!

The core of our problem is management. What little we do know about adjudicators is that they are motivated by incentives to work faster. Management has decided that we are not priority, and will not change it unless pressured into doing so. As long as we accept what they give, why should they do otherwise? Someone else is the squeaky wheel...

Let's be the squeaky wheel, everyone. That's the one that gets grease!

I truly wish there was something we could do to influence things, but it seems everything is in vain. Yes, I'm sure news stations might give pause if a lot of people started calling about the same issue, or we got a lot of signatures on a petition to present to some government group, but unfortunately we on VJ represent only a TINY percentage of complete number of people filing I-130 petitions. And when those people whom we try to plead our case to realize that, the cause is swept out the door. We would need to move an entire country of people into action somehow in order to make a difference and draw enough attention to the situation. :-(

Stay tuned. Our committee is in the planning stage of something that just may get the attention we need. Every small lead we find has the potential to lead us to the big breakthrough that we need. There are interest groups who just may take up our cause to their own advantage.

We also need numbers. In the meantime, see you on Twitter. Follow the committee there and retweet for us. If every VJer in the IR/CR-1 forum would follow us, that would mean hundreds more followers, thereby attracting more followers from outside of VJ.

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, no one can ever tear them apart.

So 11 months to NOA2? The way I've been feeling lately I'd be happy to know it was coming in March. But that's the problem.. March will come and so will the fear that the months will just keep rolling past!.

Approval ! ! ! ! ! biggrin.pngyes.gif

NBC received my case for my husband's i130 on April 22nd of 2013, and

on October 29th of 2013 I opened my email and saw it!

Then I checked the USCIS website to make sure I wasn't going crazy and starting to see things.

When I realized this was true I had tears of happiness streaming down my face and I was at work so I couldn't post then but as soon as I got home I came to let all of you know that they must be working on April filers more, and that it seems like April filers aren't being transferred.

My case was at Lee Summit, MO and I never had a transfer.

I'm honestly in shock, I was preparing to wait a few more months from what I have been reading.

This gives me hope that all of you will get your approvals soon also!

Don't give up hope yet!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile.png

My cousin is an early March filer, she text me yesterday telling me that she was notified that her case was transferred to Nebraska and should hear within 60 days. Just thought I would share, since she doesn't have VJ account.

So in your honest opinion, how long do you think people after March will have to wait to get their NOA2? 11 months or more than 11?

I copied this from another thread. Not sure if any of you saw it too...........

I received an update from the AILA lawyer about the October 31 meeting. There's nothing really new or exciting, and I'm guessing when the official Q&A is posted to uscis.gov, there won't be any game changers there either.

"As you mentioned the NBC is now routing new stand-alone Forms I-130 to the Nebraska, Texas, and California Service Centers based upon the capacity of the Service Center and not the address of the petitioner. NBC stopped sending stand-alone Forms I-130 to USCIS Field Offices for adjudication in March 2013 and have since been holding them at the NBC. The NBC will also send backlogged stand alone I-130s to the service centers starting with the longest pending cases. Cases that are transferred should receive a transfer notice. The goal is for I-130s to be adjudicated in 5 months but the actual processing time right now is much longer – they are working on cases received on 10/1/2012. Note, however, that all of the service centers are now reporting processing times for immediate relative I-130s so at least we will be able to track USCIS progress on these cases whereas before we had no clue what was going on."

Follow up to the above -- I emailed her again asking how many petitions NBC is going to transfer and whether they'll keep any to adjudicate there. She just responded a few minutes ago with:

"I believe they are transferring cases on a rolling basis so while Feb. and Mar. files are being transferred now, I imagine we will see April, May, and June moving soon. However, USCIS is constantly reviewing and reevaluating workload distribution so it is possible that things could change again. I also understand that some petitions will remain at NBC for adjudication, which, again, is all a part of the workload-balance thing.

Once the committee pulls together their collective notes, there may be some additional insights to share."
