Well for one my wife lives in the 2nd highest country with murder rate. But since then truce between gangs happened so I never worried but the bus she takes has been robbed twice with her on it. Gang members have started hanging out in her neighborhood. Her coworker was robbed at gun point for wedding ring. Her neighbor's house was robbed by gangs. Most recent friend of mine was robbed there and got stabbed also lost a eye.. Tier 2 told me that was 100% valid reasons so I filed.

Which is one year as of now. In India, sometimes local police stations observe complaint-free week. The idea being more patrolling so that petty crimes are prevented before they happen, thus reduce the number of complaints being filed. In reality, they achieve this by discouraging people from filing complaints for petty crimes.

USCIS has done something similar. To avoid petitioners and senators bugging them, they just posted the oldest file as the pending file and thus the processing time. Now I wonder how the healthcare system would be run by the govt.

That figure seems inflated. Is there a single March filer with a priority date beyond March 8 that has already been transferred? Those files had better zip out of those service centers if this is going to happen.

I think maybe they were saying 90%of Feb filers and some March filers. Because 90% March filers being transferred certainly isn't true.

I agree with you but I was transferred last week and my PD is March 28th, so I think there are at least a few of us.

About 90% of Feb. and March files are tranfered to 3 service centers and it will be cleared before Christmas we hope. Next they will look into April filers.

My PD is March 20th, and I haven't gotten a transfer notice. I don't think they're even close to clearing out March's cases yet. :(

Found this page which explains the case numbering system for those who have been wondering. One thing I find wrong is that the three digits for "YYY" say this is for fiscal year, but mine works out for calender year.

Wow so not much in the way of NOA2's. yet from the service centers?

Its hard to get a feel for the new time frame. At least they are shipping the ones that have set the longest first. I read that last year they did not. So maybe this time (the train wreak) is a little more planned out. I just keep my hopes up that there are alot more people working on our files now.

From what I've read about the new Overland Park Office. USCIS cant fill the seats. I think the pay rate is too low, 27K to 41k. So a new hire cant marry a lady with 3 kids and bring them in on that pay. So thier plan failed for the most part and now its plan B. Maybe they will still get some part of this done with the staff they could hire.

Even though the posted dates are October 2012 there are 2-3 times as many service centers working for us now, than a month ago. I'm hoping the transfered files are not going to the back of another line. I think we'll know when we see the first transfered files getting approved.

Trying to stay positive.

Yep, feeling the exact same way. When this happened last year do you know about how long it took to see the approvals start coming in?

Valid reason? Isn't being separated from your spouse a valid reason? In my eyes they're. Wanting to make an expedite request isn't a jealousy and isn't an embarrassing. What are you talking about.

Man, what is your problem with people requesting expedites?? Thats twice now with the childish responses! You'll soon be approaching Troll status...only posting when you have something negative to say. If you want to try for expedite then just do it! If you don't have any valid reason then just deal with it. Those of us that request expedite don't just call and say "hey this is my situation, expedite me!"....it requires a TON of evidence to back your statements. And I'm pretty sure the OP isn't just writing numbers down on a piece of paper and submitting them...evidence should be from valid sources.

Seriously, your spite and jealousy is a bit embarrassing. Really sad.

At least this blog has written about the delays: http://lawandborder.com/abysmal-uscis-processing-times-130-immediate-relative-immigrant-petitions/.

I look at this website like 30 times a day hoping that people would report approvals. I especially look after 9:00 pm, because that is when most approvals are reported. This is so sad ..... A big bureaucracy that just does not care.
