should i base the 60 days on the date that TSC received it or from the email that was sent notifying me that it was transferred? Online case status says Nov 18. but the email said Nov 15. Tomorrow will be 60 days based on the email...i want to get a service request submitted...

nothing special.. only that my files are both at the TSC. She was not able to tell me if they are together. She did confirm that if the senators inquiry came back saying it was assigned, it is true because they would have just said it is pending if it wasn't assigned.

She gave me the February ####### as far as processing. She did say it depends on the adjudicating officer and how many they have assigned. ( well duhhh)

I-130 takes precidence over the K-3. because he will get immediate greencard. I told her we don't care about all that. I would have paid $5000.00 at the beginning if I could by pass the long wait.

So I feel good that being told my case is assigned is probably the truth. ( I say probably because I don't believe anything anybody says)

I asked about that and the Congressman's office said there are very specific criteria for expedites...i dont think i can get one just based on extended processing time. The Congressman's person I spoke to did call directly to TSC and they said that "it is under review with an officer" so should I then assume that It is assigned? They also said that my case is "pending background check clearance"....that should take 2 days at most...I think they are just stalling for time..

the girl at my Sentor's office told me specifically if the USCIS gives a certain timeframe ( in my case 30 business days from the inquiry) she can file an expedite and she said she will do that for me if i don't hear something.

The letter we all got with the 60 day timeframe is a specific timeframe. Call them back and insist. and put in a service request. However, I don't think they will do one over the phone because they use Feb 13th. Anything filed after that doesn't qualify BUT try everything you can. I think it depends on the person who answers your call. I was very lucky today and I got 2 very nice people on the other end. I even thanked both othe them for being so nice and taking the time to try and answer my questions.

The first time I had my background check was years ago for employment and it took roughly about 8 days. (That was before true high speed internet and wifi) I have had it pulled three times in the past year for clearence on various government projects and it took between 1-2 hours each time.

I strongly suggest writing an email to the TSC with your details and stating that it's been 60 days, and asking when it will be adjudicated/what is the time frame now.

I sent the email. I'm not hoping for much as I expect they have an email inbox with thousands of emails...but this Saturday will be the two month mark and dammit, they better get on with it!ranting33va.gif

I did read that a service request number is required for a response from TSC:

"In order to assist you in a timely manner, please include the following information with your inquiry (send a follow-up email including this information if it was not included in your first request to this e-mailbox):

· The service request management tool (SRMT) inquiry number that you were given when you called the NCSC; if you have called the NCSC and they informed you they are unable to complete a SRMT please provide a brief explanation.

· The date that you contacted the NCSC;

· Your name and receipt number and/or A-number; and

· If available, the name of the NCSC Customer Service Representative you spoke with.

The TSC will review your e-mail and respond through this e-mail account or through the US Postal Service. " So it probably was a waste of time....

It might be, or might not. But it probably won't hurt. If you want, you can send another reply stating that you are unable to complete a service request due to the current processing date in the system being Feb. 13, 2013, but your date on the transfer notice states that you will have an answer within 60 days. (Hence the email.)

I honestly don't know if it will have any positive effect. But I do know that several other people who emailed the service centers around the time that their 60 days were up have gotten approvals within a few days of sending the email, so it can't hurt.
