She said at the end she's not going to reply anymore, too busy spending time with her husband who's already here I suppose. To spend time alone with your spouse, I wonder what that would be like.......

I'm sure shes reading the posts !!

Must be nice to hang out with her husband. All I have is text messages and phone calls. Video chat is too choppy where he lives. I wonder how her Christmas was....

What I wouldn't give to be with my husband right now. I even thought about flying down for New Years because I really can't take this anymore until I checked the prices.. $1200. is too steep for a spur of the moment 4 day excursion. I have to save my money for the interview trip.

Just heard on the news.... The flu is hitting Texas really hard.... All I have to say is, the USCIS employees better get out their face masks and use them..WASH THEIR HANDS AND USE HAND SANITIZER...... NO SICK DAYS ALLOWED. I need my approval

Someone posted contacts for service centers and their director's direct line phone number here a while ago. Anyone knows where I can get that? My file was transferred at the NSC and I suggest we all call these directors (TSC, NSC, CSC) as early as the first week of January and bit** about the fact that they cannot be unjustly holding up our lives. This process was designed not to exceed six months and no valid reasons have been provided as to why it's taking 12+ months, except for the fact that they have had huge volumes. Having enormous volume of files should not be a reason for delay and holding up people's lives if the management has adequate planning. Again the process was designed to be six months. Part of USCIS problem is the fact that they hold files upon receipt without processing them, supposedly called the "hold up or waiting" period. How stupid is this? This is the fundamental reason for the backlogs. If files were processed upon receipt, we would not have this problem. What was the reason in the first place for files to be sent to the NBC, when they knew the files would not be processed there?

If USCIS can prioritize those affected by natural disasters, that means they have the ability to process everyone at the same time. While I feel bad that some have been hurt by hurricanes, I refuse to accept the fact that some of those people who filed in as recent as October and November have been approved. That's crazy, while I have been waiting almost 9 months. How fair is this?

I agree.....I think we should send emails and faxes everyday of the week until they heard us. I am sure that will get their attention.

So we just got transferred!

No idea which service center yet but just hoping things will speed up from here:

On December 27, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Any idea after receiving this how long it takes before we find out which center it has gone to?

I just saw that I-129 applications from Vermont Service Center are also being transferred to CSV starting December 23. This has to be a joke. USCIS is accepting more applications than they can handle. Why can they not just hold on accepting new applications for couple of months. Work on the back log and then start accepting new applications. They think that by transferring the applications from NBC or Vermont Service Center to other service center they have resolved the problem. They are simply transferring problem from one trouble center to another. What is happening here !!!

USCIS Step:
04/19/2013: NOA1 for both parents
04/17/2013: PD
11/26/2013: Transferred to California Service Center

01/14/2014: Reply to RFE Received by CSC

01/28/2014: Email Update/Txt Received for Approval

02/01/2014: Approval Notice received in Mail

****** Both I-130s approved in about 9.5 months ******

NVC Step:

02/07/2014: Case Received by NVC

03/17/2014: Received Case/Invoice Number

03/18/2014: Submitted DS261

03/19/2014: Paid AOS online (one payment for both cases)

03/22/2014: Sent AOS Packages to NVC (separately for each parent)

03/24/2014: AOS Packages delivered to NVC (as per the USPS Tracking)

03/27/2014: IV Fees Available and Paid Online

04/05/2014: IV Documents sent to NVC

04/06/2014: DS260 submitted online

04/07/2014: IV Documents delivered to NVC

05/01/2014: AOS Approved

05/29/2014: Case Complete !!!

06/11/2014: Interview Letter Received via email

****** Took about 4 months at this NVC stage ******

06/18/2014: Medical/Physical Exam Completed

07/03/2014: Interview Completed

07/09/2014: Visas Issued :dancing:

Let's be thankful they are transferring to California and not Nebraska ans Texas. ( knock on wood)

Transferring files from one black hole to another is their way of showing the public they are making progress. Instead of wasting all that money and time transferring, you'd think they would just start adjudicating...

Although we have an RFE now, USCIS did start Processing our I-130 in 5.5 months after the NOA2 for the I-129f. I am still not sure but I think the I-129F is linked to the I-130 and pulls it along to the 5 month goal. Our I-130's are being processed in 7.5 months since I did not know about the K3 for 2 months we filed the I-129f 2 months later. We're not sure how this is going for the other K3 filers just this is what is happening for us. We had Two I-130's and the I-129f transferred to TSC on Nov 19th. RFE for the stepson's I-130 on Dec 19th. No change of status on the I-129f or her I-130 so far.

RFE is for better English Translations of 3 different Certs that were made before in China. The RFE is a good guide for what the USCIS really needs. So I think it is just a mater of giving a copy of the RFE to the Translator so the new English documents look right.

I had HIGH hopes for the K-3 when our lawyer adivsed us to file it in OCT. It has been merged with our I-130 and it was transferred with the I-130 to the TSC on Nov 27th.

Haven't had any word on anything since the transfer EXCEPT I received an approval on Nov 26th for the petition I withdrew back in 2009. Go figure. headbonk.gif

But I guess they had to send the approval so they could revoke it. Not sure why its even coming into play since it was withdrawn back in 2009. Last dates on our status are Dec 3rd for the I-130 and Dec 2nd for the K-3 which I am assuming is when our files were actually received by the TSC. I wonder if my file is sitting on someones desk since somebody sent out the paperwork for the old petition.

This week has been very hard for me. The immigration process is wearing on me pretty bad.

AS far as our translations.... I had a professional translating company do our translations. I hope itis enough. His birth cert if pretty old. Its the original. That is the only thing I am worried about. It was hard to get a good copy for the package. I had to make a color copy because the original is yellow. The color copy showed up better than the black and white.

Crossing my fingers and toes that somebody picks up our file tomorrow morning ...blink.png

I think your very close. Your transfer is just less than 10 days after our transfer to TSC. Its almost that long for us since the RFE so yes any time now. Add a few days for turkey day and xmas.

Have you read anything about how long the NVC is taking now? I keep thinking its 4-5 months for this final step. but I also think they are delayed with the back up too. Just asking what you think since I know you look every where.

Thanks for the positive words. I'll take all I can get. I sure hope you're right. I was reading that June and later filers are getting approved left and right. It is soooo depressing. I am at the end of my rope. Who knew it would take this long just to get the USCIS to look at my file? I am trying so hard to hold it all together.
