I want to work at the American Embassy in Costa Rica. They get American and Costa RIcan holidays off. LOL !

That'd be convenient! Lol. In my company a large part of the team is off on European holidays, like Christmas before New Year (we have it after) so i usually just take vacation then because it doesn't make sense for me to stick around. Not much would be happening anyway.

I'm the beneficiary.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

There are 121 pending March I-130's from this site, per Igor's list. So far, sixty March filers have been transferred. They are working their way toward the end of March, and picking up the transfer rate, but still half of March filers are still waiting.

A pattern has emerged: there is a somewhat shaky correlation between priority date and transfer date, but as usual there are a few anomalies. To early to see if there is a pattern for NOA2 for transferred files.

As for service centers, all of the February filers who have been transferred have been shipped off to NSC.

March filers have been shipped off to all three, but it's too early to see any pattern.

Of those who have updated their timelines, Feb people were transferred to Nebraska (14), Texas (7) and Vermont (1 but this one may be an incorrect entry) starting with Feb 20. Of those transfers, 3 Nebraska and 1 Texas have received NOA2.

Guys,

VJ is fun to look at but you can't go by all that. There are so many people who don't come back and fill in their timelines. Once I get an approval, I doubt I'll come back either. You can see next to their names when the last time they signed on to VJ. That might give you an idea of who is more accurate. Alot of people pop in for 5 seconds and never come back again.

Just sayin..

Maybe tomorrow we will see a bunch of approvals come threw. They all should be rested and ready to work after their 3 day weekend ( lol yea right) maybe they will get approved overtime... ( yea right again)

Urgh it's so frustrating to check the timelines and reports. How on earth is it possible that some get an approval after 3-6 month. There are petitioners from august who already received their noa2 end of October. Great for them but honestly it's not fair to those who have been waiting since January etc or even earlier. Why doesn't the uscis work in the right order....guess the fwd to other service centers messed the (probably non existing) order up even more. Just had to vent. Sorry :(

Together since 04/17/2005

Married since 03/30/2012

PD 04/09/2013

Transferred 11/18/2013

Hardcopy of transfer TSC 11/21/2013

Request for evidence 12/14/2013

Hardcopy RFE 12/21/2013

RFE response review 01/27/2014

NOA 2, approval 04/04/2014

PDA/ uscis shipped approved case to DoS for processing...04/07/2014

Waiting continues...

CONGRATS(:

I'm also in that stage.

you will need tax forms, w2s for the last three years (affidavit of support)

proof of employment (last three paystubs generally)

2 passport pictures of your spouse

marriage certificates

proof of citizenship (birth certificate, passport copy)

plus some DS forms, but depending on situation those can differ.

& a few fees that round out to about 500 to pay all together before you can schedule an interview.

Good Luck with everything!
