If I made 54K in 2012, 56K in 2011, and 58 in 2010, does that qualify me for 125% above the poverty line for the AOS form? I'm a language teacher, not a math teacher. I hate numbers and don't know how to figure that out...that, and I don't know what the poverty line is. I feel like I'm in poverty sometimes.

One more question: When putting my annual income--Am I using the same exact figure for "Adjusted Gross Income" as they require in item 19 for the latest tax year? Are those figures to match? Or am I using the numbers on my actual W-2s? Should I use the "adjusted gross incomes" on my tax return? If not, what should I refer to on my W-2? I can't tell which number is actually my "annual salary" since it says:

item 1. "wages, tips, other compensation 52K, but then

items 3. "social security" shows 56K and

item 5. "medicare wages and tips" shows 56K again but then...

line 16. says "state wages" and again says 56K

What is the figure they want me to use on the Affidavit of Support form?? Aaaaah :help:

ORRRRRRRRR should I use what's on paper at my employer and send in the employment stub that says my salary for the year? maybe I should do that instead of trying to decipher these W-2s. :bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk::bonk:

Oh, and finally....if we're the one filling out the form, and not having anyone else do it, do we just leave the rest of the form blank? "Information about the preparer"?? I read we're not supposed to leave ANYTHING blank...so am I writing NONE on all the lines?? or N/A? What? again... :bonk:
