We aren't lawyers and this isn't a family law forum. I know that in certain states you can file a non-appearance affidavit, but that really depends on the specifics of your case and location. A lawyer is the best person to ask.

In the state I am in you do not have to appear in court if the divorce is uncontested. When my first husband and I divorced we did not have to appear before the judge because we agreed upon the terms of our divorce. We had a moderator who was assigned by the court to go over the final terms and sign the papers, she brought it to the judge and he signed it without us there. Not sure what the laws are in the state you are in.
