A rep for our congressman contacted USCIS on our behalf

I specifically mentioned to him the lack of action on the July through October cases, and the recent November and Deceomber approvals. He conveniently skirted those questions. It's interesting though that, according to his conversation with the USCIS officer, that they have been contacted by many congessional offices regarding the fiance visa. Maybe the pressure is finally getting to them. Here's hoping!!

Good, let's double it!

I suppose it's a mixed blessing with the December filers...it lends credence to our arguments that something is up!

In our long waiting period (NOA1 - Aug2) I have looked at every case from our case number till mid july, yes there are a lot. There are currently over 500 open 129F applications in that time frame. There are 10 that have pending RFE's and I look at these cases everyday to look for changes in status. Of the 500 open cases, there are a bit more than 750 total cases between mid july and my case, so just over 20% are approved (for you statisticians, I am not giving the exact numbers I track, but the ball park). More than half of those approvals were the in the Nov/Dec timeframe. Since January, just under 90 cases have been approved between July 18 and early august. I share this because the information your representative gave you about processing mid august is incorrect.

The late Nov-Dec approvals, from all appearances, seem to be "normal" cases. They are currently and actively working on this block of applications. It is obvious when you look at the daily approvals and RFEs from trolling the "my case status" receipt numbers from early December. And this is actual USCIS data, to the VJ timeline data "doubters" reading this.

I highly doubt that so many sequential cases have an expedite and/or congressman's help.

Just out of curiosity how do you view other peoples case status receipt numbers, are you talking about on the USCIS website or just here on VJ?

Interesting, seems all of the reference numbers filed around mine are for employment authorization I-765 and for some kind of card delivery, they are also all approved... Probably Mexicans.

Does anyone here live in the same Congressional District (California 48th) as the CSC? I wonder if an in-person visit by their Congressman (John Campbell - R) might be a good next step? The district is pretty small geographically covering Newport Beach, Tustin, Irvine, El Toro and Lagune Niguel so both his residence and local office are probably nearby which would make it easy for him to meet with the director on one of his visits home if he could be convinced to do so. It's worth asking if you live in this district and who knows perhaps the Congressman might take up our cause?

http://www.campbell.house.gov/

if you go to the bottom of this page you will find a casework release authorization form(PDF)to download and return to him signed.. if enough of us send him one of these asking him to help ALL OF US to get the first come first serve process followed, he might be inclined to help or at least provide info beyond the standard reply.. again please dont focus on your own case but rather ask for him to help all who have been on hold while CSC has been doing what ever they have been doing

That is a whole lotta work to figure out those numbers. I'm blown away by all the people who are working so hard to make this problem better. I was doing great until I hit 5 months. This is when I expected to get my NOA2 based on predictions when we applied. Going past this is hard and I know that sounds unfair and cruel to all those waiting since July. I can't fathom that. If I hear anything else from the woman who is our rep for our congressman I will let you know. She pretty much got told the same thing that most people here are being told. I liked the "update" that they are actually working on August cases... but that's still a long ways away from getting to November if there is any semblance of chronological order. (Which obviously there is not.) If all of our congressmen and women are calling I gotta think it will get some type of a response. Something. I'm usually really optimistic about pretty much everything. I'm sadly losing that now. My heart goes out to those waiting since July.. not that it helps anything.

till I hit mid July 18 cases

I contacted Congressman Campbell about this issue, the rep is Jeremy Riley, CSC told him that CSC still working on July 18 cases, then I sent another fax to Congressman Campbell to look into this issue further, that CSC has been working on July 18 for a few months and it is unacceptable, I haven't heard anything back from him office.

I just sent a reply to my congressman's aide. Here's what I said:

Thank you Mr. Dobo.

That answers some questions, but not about why they are approving petitions from November and December, and not October or earlier. I have quite a list of research available to me. I know for a fact that there are petitioners from July that haven't even been looked at yet. Words from USCIS, especially CSC ring hollow with me. I appreciate your efforts, but until I see concrete results, and USCIS is held accountable, I will continue to enlist support from every level of government I can. Remember, there's an army of petitioners out here that want nothing more than to be reunited with our loved ones. I trust you understand my skepticism.

Kind regards,

Ron Irving

There...I sent it. No more sitting and waiting. I am sick and tired of the bulls*it from USCIS. Wait 3 more months? I think not!

She has been very helpful. Her phone call yeilded the following information.

- USCIS has hired staff to look after DACA applications. It has not impacted the ability of USCIS to process K1 visas.

- They are processing applications from July 18th.

- When my fiance told the congressman rep that they are processing applicants from Nov. Dec. she replied "that is not what she's being told".

Apparently they are sticking to their story. I have since forwarded her a bunch of information from this website. We will see where it goes.

Did your congressman ask for your WAC number? If so, might some of the people that were approved in Nov and Dec. Could you please share your WAC numbers. The congressman/woman could check for their self. And see what the real facts truely are?
