Does anyone understand what is going on with people who have been waiting since September and all of the December filers are getting approved? It's great for those filers, but really unfair to people waiting months and months before!

One reason for some petitions suddenly being approved well before the average processing goal is most like because it get's the average processing time down at the end up each quarter of the year. 1000 petitions being approved after 3 months basically makes the average go down for that quarter despite people still waiting 7-8 months. It's not fair but it's probably a safe bet on how the service centers keep their goals constant.

VJ is such a small fraction of all petitions so you only get statistics for i129f around 5 percent of all petitions from Igor's list.

:ot2:

Congrats on NOA2!

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

Click timeline or "about me" for all details.

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days
