To be honest, I can't think of a Christian government - well, aside obviously from the government of the Vatican.

I suppose it depends how you define Christian government and blasphemer. In a loose interpretation, that could include several nations in both the former east and west blocs, or the former axis and allies. Both the politics and religious affiliations (or the denouncing there of), for several nations changed between the years of 1900 and 2000.

Update: The Saudi Courts heavy hand has also extended to the lawyer for the victim.

Update: The Saudi Justice Ministry has reaffirmed the sentence and is making some incredible claims in order to deflect international attention.

I've been browsing your source "wolfhowling.blogspot.com." It's not surprising this is an anonymous blogger - here's just a small sampling of the ####### I found on articles posted there:

Islam has seen no Period of Enlightenment

Islam spread by the sword

The concept of free reasoning fell from grace in Islam.

The UN exists in an alternate Islamic universe.

The UN is only doing the work of radical Wahhabi Islamists

We can coexist with Muslims as long as they are not trying to kill us and impose their religion by coercion or by working fundamental changes to our Western secular values with ridiculous charges of Islamaphobia. Unfortunately, that is not the reality. Thus, it is their religion that needs to change.

Nothing in this world is more in need of criticism than Islam as practiced in the Middle East, whether Salafi's would consider it "slander" or not. And indeed, no religion is more deeply involved in "slander" towards other religions than are the Muslims.

The Islamic world is convulsed with an explosion of anti-Americanism.

Islam is a tool of politics and power in the Middle East - a tool that has not matured from its founding in the 7th century.

What goes on in Muslim countries should not be countenanced in the civilized world

Is Speech Against Islam A Crime Against Humanity -- Or Is Islam Itself?

The Muslim religion is premised on the most fundamental of blasphemies against Christianity

The natural result of a drift into anti-semitism and pro-Arab sympathies by those on the left generally

I thought the last people of French origin worthy of any respect were Charles Martel and his army of Franks - the men who heroically beat back the advance of Islamic armies into Europe.

It also offers an array of Islamophobic cartoons and pushes the "Muslim perpetual rage" meme. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

nope. i don't think anyone is a bad person or a good person because of their claimed religion. i know that a religion is only as good as an individual's interpretation and application. i don't think snake handlers are worse christians than boston catholics or whatever because the very root of their christianity is that jesus died for their sins and was resurrected. the same.

Disagree. As a whole the Westboro Baptist church are despicable hate filled psychopaths compared to the average person at my local Methodist or whatever church. church.. I will shock a lot you that can't understand my simple message against intolerance and oppression by saying, I would have no problem saying the people at my local mousque are better people than your average Westboro member.

Existentialism is not allowed in the P&R Forum. Reported.

I looked that there big ol word up.. you reported.

But with progress comes change, we all know the SA is a different place to live, no doubt. But as folks have posted, the climate is changing, maybe for the better. That's all I am saying.

My honest opinion is that the ruling classes uses religion as a tool to suppress and control the people. That is the end sum game.

Ahh i knew it was coming. Anything the post is irrelevant becuse they are a hate sight and Islamaphobes.

I already responded to the entire substance of your OP article quite extensively in my very first post in this thread.

But your source is an Islamophobia-peddler (which does not surprise me in the least.) If this is the kind of place you go to learn what you think you know about Islam, well, it says a lot about you.

So you still haven't been able to come up with any quotes backing up the stuff you claim I said. There's a reason for that ;)

Yes because I am too lazy dig back through volumes of posts. I dont have to. Are you saying you never said anything about Saudi women being some of the most educated women etc etc and .

I coincide your point about the blog I quoted. When i went back and looked he did have a heavy theme of ant-Iraq,Iran,Saudi etc.

But that is no different than the sites you post that are nothing but anti Israel rhetoric.

No, I'm not the one who said that. Not only did you attribute the quote to the wrong person, you also took it completely out of the context in which it was posted - because I saw who posted it and I followed the conversation to know what they were talking about. I pay attention to the discussion and who says what. You ought to try it - and use the quote function to save yourself from this kind of embarrassment in the future.

This is not the only time you have attributed other people's posts to me, and then used them to try to make personal attacks against me. It seems you have difficulty telling one person from another - even though I have a very distinctive avatar and a flag which is not very common on my posts - and when someone disagrees with you (particularly if they are female with a MENA flag) you lump all of us together.

Secondly, I don't post any antisemitic material, nor do I frequent any antisemitic websites to get material, nor do I associate or collaborate with any antisemites (or any other bigots, for that matter.)

Oh dear lord , I have never personally attacked you and I don't even know what a Mena flag is. I told you quote the post in this thread in which I attacked you or Islam as a whole.. Did not happen.

You still refuse to address two very simple questions.. What is the basis for all law in Saudi. and do you think women in Saudi are oppressed. it's not hate, I am not lashing out against all of Islam.

I really don't understand why you continue to engage me then act like a spoiled child when the debate does not go your way with threats of "I will report you, last warning". Of course when you do, at the very hint of anti-Muslim they come flying . That must give you comfort that you can use the mods to shut down dissent. Only you can't because I don't care if I get banned for simply presenting my side of an argument. thousands of other board love IP traffic.

Once again show me the post in this thread in which attacked all of Islam. You can't do it.. You suggested I start my own Saudi thread an dstay out of yours. I did as you suggested and you could not help but jumping in to rebuke the facts I posted.

If you don't like what I have to say don't open my threads. If you don't like criticism don't dish it out. simple.
