Hello everyone my name is Guillermo, and according to visa journey i'm a newbie. lol, all jokes aside im very thankful for this web site as it has helped me with my preparation of k1 visa. i was very tempted to hiring a lawyer and pay big bucks to help me with this process but after reading throughout these forums i felt confident i can pull this out of my owned. It took me about 2 weeks to gather all the needed documents for the k1 visa. it could of been faster, but lets just say Cuba isnt a easy place to work with. from little to no internet service, to extremely high prices to place calls. Nonetheless, i know it will be a uphill battle to get this process going and completed. i just know that the end result will worth it. My I-129f package was sent April 9, 2013. it included ; money order($340) completed I-129f form with a question 18 elaborate response, my G-325 form with passport picture, my fiance G-325 form with passport picture. my birth certificate, my fiance birth certificate and its English translation, my fiance proof of bachelor hood and its English translation. my letter of intent of marriage , my fiance letter of intent of marriage and it english translation. my proof of visiting Cuba with four flight tickets, and pictures. also submitted my transactions with cuballama, and myblack011. both call service companies. finally numerous emails, going back as far as our very first. the package was sent express mail to a lewisville Texas address.

my only worry that i have is that im dealing with Cuba, and the fact there is no U.S embassy. how would that be any different from other countries k1 visas process? i dont know. and what i dont know brings fear. also i have a 8 month old girl. i placed her name in the I129f form, but is that all i should of done? at least thats all i was able to read on. my baby does not have my last name because according to Cuba law i must be married in order to give my last name. i wasn't there at the time of birth neither. will they question my paternity?

well i believe that sums up my story. i with out a doubt will be an active member soaking in as much info as possible. look forward in responses, advise, tips and suggestion from expirience members. i thank you before hand.

Welcome, si man! You should get a lot of good advice here. Regarding your Cuba-specific questions, go to the Forums list, scroll down to the Regional forums, click on the Caribbean subforum, create a new message, and post your Cuba questions there. That might be the quickest way to get meaningful answers.

Again, welcome! :)
