We're August 6th filers through CSC. Today is Day 248 for us.

On March 20th (22 days ago), I wrote my Congressman and finally hear back something of substance from one of his Casework Supervisors.

Two weeks ago, he told me that he had heard back from CSC with the same "July 18th" info. He told me that he would follow up with him on this next Monday (4/15).

Today, on 4/11, he wrote me unprompted and said that he had received a message from USCIS, which was cut and pasted as follows:

"There have been some updates on your constituent’s case since my last email. The file is no longer on the waiting shelf, it has arrived at an officer desk. Your constituent’s case is currently being adjudicated. Your constituent should receive a notice of action* within 45 days.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, Notice of Intent to Deny or Notice of Intent to Revoke.

I know that this is maybe not close to a NOA2 approval, but has anyone ever got a similar update? Can I assume that this is legit info if USCIS delivered this message to my Congressman's Casework Supervisor?

45 days would put us at just shy of 300 days total. Can I assume that this is a very long estimate, and that perhaps if it's on a desk, we could hear something back in a few weeks?

What do you think?

Yes, once I received this message from my senators office, it was soon after that we had our approval. Its coming!!

I believe if it is on an officer's desk, you should have an answer very soon. The email you received is referring to the NOA2, in my opinion. Hope you get good news soon!

I hope this means that they are working on this block of applications, and not just yours due to the inquiry, but I am happy for you either way.

Today we learned from the Office of Congresswoman Betty McCollum that they had received news from the USCIS about the inquiry made on our behalf. This is the quote:

USCIS records indicate the I129F case *********** is currently under review with an officer. Your constituent should receive a notice of action* within 45 days.

*A notice of action may be in a form of a Request for Evidence, Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Notice of Intent to Deny or Notice of Intent to Revoke.

We hadn't heard anything in more than 7 months, so we are interpreting this as a positive sign. Even "45 days" doesn't sound as bad as not knowing at all. Now we see the light!

Let's keep our hopes up :)

FYI: someone at CSC with a NOA1 date of 12/17 was just approved yesterday. Huge congrats to them, but #######???

12/17 is soooo unfair!! And looking at last days approvals, there are only from december!! :crying: It's just so painful... Btw, I really hope the response from your Congressman means your NOA2 is arriving soon!!
