I am preparing all the evidence in advance for my husband's interview and this is what I have so far:

1. Skype chat logs ----- but how many will suffice? I will end up having over 100 pages at this rate and I have to copy and paste it all to Word in order to print it. Is that fine?

Phone bill records ---- Before our marriage my phone plan was under a family friend's cell phone plan since I did not have a SSN and my family was living out of the country for the year, so on these phone bills the family friend's name shows up at the top of each page. Should I write a letter with these explaining why it is that way?

2. Envelopes and Cards sent to each other for Anniversaries and Birthdays------Do I need to take the originals? Or just the copies of the envelopes are fine? Are the cards themselves necessary?

3. Wedding pictures----- How many are sufficient? I cannot travel with my heavy wedding albums, but my husband has a smaller album.

4. Tickets/Boarding passes and or passport copies of entry/exit stamps, showing evidence of visits.

One more off topic question. Did people send their original (translated) marriage certificate with the DS 230?

Thank you guys!

1. pick skype chats from randon dates. yes copying to word is fine.

3.if your husband's copy has pictures that convey good message about your union and relationshipn then that should do. The heavy albums cannot be slipped under the windows to the COs in mist embassies anyway. Also go with other pics not about wedding that you both appear in(preferably among other people)

4. These will help send a msssage about communicating and physical meetings.

yes originals should have been sent to NVC. if not , they must be taken to the interview with copies. DO NOT forget to request for them back even though they should return all originals by default.

best wishes!!!

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!

Thank you NDU26!

If I send the original translated marriage certificate only and keep the untranslated original, would that result in an RFE? Not sure if the untranslated one is even needed, but can I send the copy of the untranslated one instead? i cannot afford to send both since I feel like I need to have at least one original physically with me. What is a certified copy though? Or a normal copy is fine? How do you request the originals back?

Sorry for the numerous questions.

Are the actual birthday and anniversary cards necessary for the interview? Or just the original envelopes are fine?

Thank you!
