USCIS update to our case - weird

I was too excited when I checked our case online because my fiance was at work and told me that he got a text message from uscis and he wanted me to check it online. I thought it was approval but I frown when I read it and got confused!

Does anybody here explain to me what is this mean? Does anybody received this kind of message too?

here it goes:

On April 11, 2013, your name was updated relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

This simply means that someone at USCIS is looking at your case and is making changes to it.

It looks like you submitted information based on a RFE you got?

I am guessing they are processing this now and adding it to the case.

Have you created a logon to USCIS so you can track the last update date of your case?

See the below from the USCIS website:

* Note on "Last Updated" date:

Your case may have a new "Last Updated" date and you may receive an Email and/or text message notification of your case being updated, without the status of the case changing. This is due to internal USCIS processing being performed on your Case. This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message.

I recieved same email last month. I called but got no answers. Then 1 week later i recieved hard copy noa2

that was 1st attempt.

in 2nd attempt noa1 - dec 11, 2012

does this anything to do with our 1st application that denied??

we have update too but it says just alien reg.# changed on April 10 and i also dont know what this can mean,because we dont have RFE,but we made a service request 2 weeks ago and a bit more now

I think this mean u will have approval soon :-) ....i hope the same for us too :-)

This is fine, in your case kcbowhunter, they must have changed someone on your case - and you got notified. Just because you got notified it doesn't mean your case has progressed, but someone is looking at it.

yeah my Fiance and I and specially our daughter hope to receive our noa2 as soon as possible before school class starts here in Philippines to save money for tuition fees. Still praying to get our Noa2!!!

Good Luck! Hope it comes soon. But if you ask me, a update on your case, even though it isn't the NOA2 is a good sign.

Oh dude ive gotten so many weird updates from USCIS I started to just ignore them, Ive had address changed, name changed, country change.. Still nothing

I am applying for AOS and I got the same message 5 days ago, was approved yesterday. So it is a good sign, your NOA2 may be on its way.
