Well, I can't enter the receipt date that is on my NOA1 in my timeline. I mailed the petition 11/04/06, and when I received my NOA1 it has a receipt date of 11/03/06. Hmmm... Should I enter my notice date, 11/09/06?

In my case,

My check was cashed on 9/18 and on the USCIS website, and when I call them, that same date is used as when my case was first processed.

However, my receipt (I-797) date is 9/19.

They're only a day off and because USCIS is showing my application as being received on the 18th that is what I'm using as my NOA1.

I'd use the date that your application was received and processed into their system.

But that is my advice - there may be someone out there who can better assist. Good luck.
