Your tax dollars at work. Love the efficiency!

Your tax dollars do not FUND the USCIS. The payments made for visas etc, fund the USCIS.

They need a 3rd party to dole out that money based on performance. They would be pissed to go home without a paycheck.

Most people would. It's hard to feed your family when you work for free.

I had an Infopass meeting today, face to face. When I said I knew of people getting approved in Nov and Dec. The person stumbled. Then said, is this a friend of yours you're speaking about. Don't think they take to kindly to us knowing so much about there lies and incompetency.

What is this "infopass" and is it worth trying? We are going on over 8 months and just don't know what else to do. What did he say before you left? Did he put in a service request or take any action?

Thanks

I personally don't believe it's going make any difference, but the meeting just happened today. Shall see what the next week brings. The individual I met with had to relay atleast 1/2 my questions to the person in the next cubicle. I believe he was still in training.

i'm happy for the CSC approved petitions for the fact that atlast the CSC has finally moved their butts out of the toilets. but yes, this 5 months jump is so disheartening. i would have feel better if they process it on the right dates. if only they do that, i would be patiently waiting.

the hardship is breaking my heart. why does it need to feel like this first before you can be with your significant other. waiting is really hard. my excitement starts to fade.

i've been here in VJ literally everyday, my fiance suggested to just quit looking to stop further disappointment.

i just hope for fast approval for all of us. i'm keeping everyone in my prayers.

fingers crossed.

I called in to USCIS today and got a Tier 2 representative after I told Tier 1 not to bother quoting me info on their website and just transfer me to Tier 2. I am a September filer (Sep 4 NOA1) with petition at CSC. He initially tried to tell me that the processing date was July 18th and to call back when the date moved, and I proceeded to tell him "Listen, that date means nothing, I personally know of people who filed in November and December who just recently got approved, so don't tell me they're only processing apps before July 18th, because I happen to know for a fact you're full of it." He quickly backed off and said since I know of people who've been approved that far after me that he would get a service inquiry going to find out what's going on. Now I don't know if it will actually help in the end, probably not, or if I will even get any concrete info, again probably not, but one thing for sure, it got them to stop quoting the July 18th date as soon as I said that. So my question is, November and December NOA2ers, do you care if we (meaning black hole filers of late July, Aug, Sep and Oct) personally reference you guys when we call BS to USCIS on the July 18th date? It would be one way that you could help a ton of people that you say you're praying for. Thanks!

If it will get me an NOA2, you can reference me all you want. Heck, I will call for you :)

Tony, at least you have a date to look forward to? My timeline is behind me! LOL "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between February 16, 2013 and March 22, 2013*."

Unfortunately I've learned that those timeline estimations are useless. I remember way back when I filed that it said Nov 21st thru 28th. Hah lol, not when you're a black hole filer at CSC!

When someone is told they will have a service request open for them, are they given a confirmation # or a receipt #?

I mean how do they know that the person on the phone really will do a service request and isn't just bs'ing them to get them off the phone?

Yes, I was given a confirmation number. I was also told that I should see a letter or email no later than April 26th and to call back if I don't hear anything by April 30th However, did the thought cross my mind that the person was bs'ing me to get me off the phone? Oh yeah, definitely, and even moreso, I believe that they probably were. I'm fully expecting to see an email restating the processing date and all that garbage, and if I do, I will definitely call back with a few choice words, and I might cite some specific people who had NOA2s in November and December, with their permission of course (hence why the original post). Not the most optimistic thought, I know. But I figured at this point, what have I got to lose?
