The impressive thing is that other students tackled and pinned the guy to catch him. Probably doesn't happen if he's got a bunch of guns on him. A knife was a pretty stupid choice for the amount of damage he wanted to do.

Were they legitimately stabbed? I doubt they were if they were bleeding. I heard somewhere that the female body has a way of shutting that down.
