Hi Guys,

Should i be worried that i have not heard anything since January 20th??

We filed our I29F and recieved a letter saying it had been recieved and was being processed and we have not heard anything since. Is this normal for Nebraska or is something wrong?

I hate this!!!

I live in England so when i called to chase or get an update i just get told they cannot tell me anything which annoys the hell out of me. I am able to check my case online but that never changes.

Any tips on finding out whats going on????? :(

Thanks

Hello, dear!!

This letter you received is probably your 1st NOA and have a receipt number on it that starts with three letters and have 10 numbers, ex.: LIN0852925252.

With this receipt number you can check your case status online at USCIS website and receive every update of your case status by e-mail.

To see your case status, you must access this link: https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/caseStatu...id=aPPoVDHFd_jc

And to receive updates by e-mail, you must register by accessing this other link: https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/sele...id=ao7DY05Ppu1e

If you already have the receipt number, don't worry in relation to the waiting... It sucks, I know, but it's normal... There are a lot of people that had their 1st NOA's in December and are being touched again only now! If you have doubts, check up the timelines!

Good luck and let's try to be patient... I know it's hard, though! ;)

Kisses!!

Nebraska is the slowest service centre for processing these cases so its pretty normal that you havent heard anything yet from them. If you havent heard anything in another two months or so then I would try chase it up.

if you are the beneficiary, service centers willl not give you any information - at least that is what CSC told me ;) they will only relate to the petitioner, hard I know but it will happen for you at some stage, we all find out that patience is a virtue in this game

Thanks guys i am sure you have had days like this.

Thing is we have set a date for the wedding end of october and have started to plan things so not to be disapointed we need to make sure we keep on top of things. I was very confident that we should have all this done in 10 months but it does worry me sometimes when you dont hear anything!

Priscila and Christopher- i do have a LIN number and i have registered online its just such a pain not hearing anything. But your post does make me feel alot better knowing that people are in the same boat. Thanks.
