I'm Happy for those who got approved but when I have been waiting since July 26th I have the right to be mad when my case along with most filers July 19th and beyond have been ignored! Im starting to loose my cool!

You do have every right to be upset, just be sure to point your frustrations in the right direction. The people who get their cases adjudicated quickly haven't bribed officials or jumped the line, they are just like everyone else. They put in their applications and wait and hope for the best. Personally, I will be happy for anyone who gets their approval be it faster or slower than myself. I will show frustration with an agency that has no transparency and seems to lack any compassion when dealing with such emotional issues such as ours.

exactly, but who is there to listen? I have tried to contact the csc. I have been given a service Request the answer was give us 120 more days. I have emailed my representatives, yet to hear back from them so a trip to there office is in order. What I'm upset about is I can get no answer to my questions I believe we are all at least entitled to that. I want to do something about it but I don't know what else to do.

Sadly, there is nobody to listen except us VJers. It's very frustrating, and even though I haven't had to go through the wait yet, I can surely empathize with you. There really should be a process in place to insure that things like what is currently happening at CSC don't happen, but there isn't. All we can do is make a lot of noise and hope someone hears us. Honestly, even if we could affect a major change in how they operate, it won't change our cases, but might help those in the years to come. It really is unjust how the system works right now. If CSC continues processing Nov/Dec cases and next month they miraculously claim to be within the 5 month period again, while all the July-October people continue to wait, I'd hope that they would allow all those petitioners to ask for and receive expedited service; even if it meant delaying my own petition.

I´m officially addicted too! Don´t even recognize myself anymore, I´m on this site all the time, it´s the first thing I think about when I wake up, how terrible is that!

But Narnia, I think it´s a good sign that CSC has actually started working on K1s again and is able to crank out that many in just one day. You will be up soon! And me too, a few months later, and we will be with our sweethearts in Cali!

Viel Glück (F)

can't stop either

Every one here has a loved one that they can't wait to share the rest of their lives with! We all deserve to be with our loved ones as soon as possible. Every person, even if they filed after me I'm truly happy for when they receive there no2 as I know the excitement and desire they have to be together! I wish you the best of luck and hope your wait is much shorter then ours.

If you look through the K-1 timelines of those approved quickly for NOA2 recently, NONE of them from Oct./Nov./Dec. that have been approved already received any RFEs. But, those from recent NOA2 approvals from July, August, almost All of them had a RFE along the way... Therefore, it appears that they are putting through cases that have no issues regardless of dates and it's taking longer for those which likely need more review. It really seems to come down to how well your petition was put together and if you frondloaded it or just sent in the minimum. I frontloaded ours extensively so, I hope to have no RFE and be put through quickly although, ours is at VSC. Good luck to you all and I hope you get your NOA2 soon.

A crock.

Whatever, you should probably take a look at the timelines... because I looked through about 30-40 of them... those July/August who have received NOA2s in April/March seem to have RFEs. Whereas, those recent NOA2s that are from Oct/Nov/Dec.. don't seem to have RFEs. It is what it is... Look for yourself and draw your own conclusion.

Bayareaguy and many others here have looked through the timelines extensively. The data there does not support your claim re RFEs being the driving force in the CSC's arbitrary expediting from time to time. Why don't you keep looking at the timelines and try to reconcile your argument with the September and October filer data?

Exactly. Also there was a Nov 30th filer who got an RFE 2 days ago, so they are not cherry picking clean files.

Its definitely an emotional roller coaster!

The easier thing would be to take a step away from the forum for a while and Igor's list. Try to forget your waiting for anything. Its amazing what a difference it makes to your life. Problem is the need to check is addictive

I agree with you and yes

me too...same boat...july 26 NOA1 and you guys in the august, sept and october feel like it is so unfair for them to cut in the line ahead of us...just imagine how much frustration we July filers are feeling at this point?

almost 9 months and all they can say at the USCIS when we follow-up is to WAIT? wow...so comforting. i just wish they'd be at least upfront about what is going on rather than let us all grope in the dark.

not check the site? i really wish i could do that so i wont be too stressed out. but what if the small glimmer of hope shines thru and i dont get to see it right away? i certainly dont wanna be caught off guard and not ready for the next step when it happens.

so there, long and short of it, we all still have to WAIT... much as most of us are already fed up with this emotional roller coaster ride.

let's think about possible scenarios for what recently happens with CSC approvals.

1. some workers, maybe newbies, picked up a random pile of K-1 applications and eagerly got to work on them. which would explain the "normal" pace of a few approvals a day.

the fact that the dates of the NOA1s are so close to each other happens to be a coincidence, because the pile that got picked up happened to be from late november.

2. CSC is trying to make their metrics look good. either so people stop complaining or can't complain. their attitude could shift to "we are at a 5 month average anyway, so stop calling us". which would of course only apply to concerned applicants from november and later. however if they want to reach a lower average processing time, it would mean filers from october and earlier have every right to be granted service requests. which would cause the CSC even more extra work.

i personally have no idea what system they work with and how this could really be beneficial to them.

3. those cases were expedites. but we know from forum activity that this fact does not apply on all of them.

what can be said for sure is, that if they keep playing this game, they can expect some angry phone calls. from me for sure.

they only give july - october filers every reason to get riled up and they even lower their system of defense by processing later months. there's no more excuses.

what else could be a reason? can someone think of an explanation for this mystery?

I think all your reasons are wrong.

First off the files have been scanned into a computer (according to someone at USCIS), so no files to just grab and process. Second it is pretty obvious they do not care about their metrics and what would they get out of making them look better? They base their processing time on the longest standing average of applications waiting to be approved, that is obvious from the last few months. Third what are the chances that all the approved apps in the last couple days were all expedited and from nov 25-dec 3rd. Probably a slim chance. The most likely explanation, and I am hesitant to say this until few more days of approvals come through, is that they transferred some, and even then I still have no clue for sure. People wonder why there is no mention of this, and I can only say I would bet they are slow to update this in the news and or may never. Sure it sucks that many have been waiting for a long time, but speculating ####### like this only makes others more angry and confused. Your possible scenarios had little to no thought put into them and should never have been posted on this forum. They upset people and will probably cause more problems than they solve. Everyone wants this process to end, but ####### like this only fuels the fire of people waiting. Be positive and hope for the best. It will happen eventually hopefully sooner than later. Sorry for my rant but just tired of all the conspiracy theories!

CSC cleared their backlog in one foul flush, hence the 'plumbing issues, now they are back to working under 5 months again! Easy as that! I think if this trend continues to the end of this week and we see 4-5 November/December approvals daily, there will certainly be something fairly suspect going on at CSC. Also they do seem to take at least a week or two to notify anyone of case load transfer, perhaps that has happened and post October cases have gone somewhere else?

There's no truth to the flooding issue, please stop posting such when there's no reason to upset July-Oct filers.
