let's think about possible scenarios for what recently happens with CSC approvals.

1. some workers, maybe newbies, picked up a random pile of K-1 applications and eagerly got to work on them. which would explain the "normal" pace of a few approvals a day.

the fact that the dates of the NOA1s are so close to each other happens to be a coincidence, because the pile that got picked up happened to be from late november.

2. CSC is trying to make their metrics look good. either so people stop complaining or can't complain. their attitude could shift to "we are at a 5 month average anyway, so stop calling us". which would of course only apply to concerned applicants from november and later. however if they want to reach a lower average processing time, it would mean filers from october and earlier have every right to be granted service requests. which would cause the CSC even more extra work.

i personally have no idea what system they work with and how this could really be beneficial to them.

3. those cases were expedites. but we know from forum activity that this fact does not apply on all of them.

what can be said for sure is, that if they keep playing this game, they can expect some angry phone calls. from me for sure.

they only give july - october filers every reason to get riled up and they even lower their system of defense by processing later months. there's no more excuses.

what else could be a reason? can someone think of an explanation for this mystery?

I fully agree and am just at a complete loss to understand what's going on. I'm so happy for those getting approved, I'm so SAD for those left behind in a developing black hole, and being right on the edge of the recent approvals means I'm also suddenly full of hope that I might get "lucky".

I am exhausted from this emotional roller-coaster. :(

Totally agree. I am myself October filler and pissed me off when I heard they process December not not July-October.

I am completely exhausted and loosing my mind ©

i agree. it is addictive. but i can't blame anybody for checking daily. we are all in the same boat, banging our heads against the walls.

time wouldn't matter so much, if we could wait with our loved ones at our sides. but it's not that easy to combine two lives across the globe WITHOUT that visa. it's the epitome of frustration.

I highly doubt that all of the last 8-9 CSC approvals were all expedites..all from the same days and time periods? How?

I'm happy for anyone that can escape the wrath of CSC as quickly as possible, but I can't say that it doesn't burn when I see people applying from the same applicant country that I am and are getting approved TODAY, with a NOA1 date of almost FOUR MONTHS after us.

I mean, #######???

I say option 2. This way they look good and anyhow all july to october people are mad at them already.

I´m officially addicted too! Don´t even recognize myself anymore, I´m on this site all the time, it´s the first thing I think about when I wake up, how terrible is that!

But Narnia, I think it´s a good sign that CSC has actually started working on K1s again and is able to crank out that many in just one day. You will be up soon! And me too, a few months later, and we will be with our sweethearts in Cali!

haha. i know that feeling. i'm just too curious not to check.

i'm much aware it's a good sign that they appear to be actually working on something. and i'm happy for everybody who gets approved! i am just puzzled by the CSC's decision to jump ahead in time.

du gehst ja auch nach los angeles! heh, lustig.

danke! auch dir viel glück!

CSC cleared their backlog in one foul flush, hence the 'plumbing issues, now they are back to working under 5 months again! Easy as that! I think if this trend continues to the end of this week and we see 4-5 November/December approvals daily, there will certainly be something fairly suspect going on at CSC. Also they do seem to take at least a week or two to notify anyone of case load transfer, perhaps that has happened and post October cases have gone somewhere else?
