I really think the bottom line is attitude. And I don't mean being an interview brown-noser.

Whenever you make a big move from one place to another, without a job already lined up, you better expect it might take awhile. And you might find yourself having to 'suck it up' taking a job outside of your field or that you are over-qualified for in order to gain references and work experience.

Keep in mind the US economy isn't exactly hot right now. Job opps are a lot better in some areas than others, but these are tough time nonetheless.

I think what's frustrating for most folks on VJ is they aren't kids anymore fresh out of college. We reach a level of exasperation a lot sooner than the truly inexperienced youngsters.

I think you hit the nail on the heat when it comes to the economy! The economy is rightly sliding down the toilet.. thanks George

When we first moved to the area we're in there was tons on IT jobs.. now there is office jobs and a few others.
