Just Called USCIS October Filer

When I called USCIS the operator talked about the October 1st date, but also said that because that date is updated once a month the actual cases they are working generally varies from two weeks before and after that date. She also said that in some cases it can go to any amount of time. Another thing she told me is that to file an e-request your NOA1 needs to be BEFORE the date they are working on, and it doesn't matter if VSC has an average of 5 months, what matter is the October 1st date.
