So there are states where you can purchase a gun and nobody questions your ability to use it? Weird.

It is not rocket science, once you figure out how to put bullets in, and which end the bullets come out. But yes, not all states require you to pass a firearm safety course before you buy one and demonstrate your ability to use handle a firearm safely before the dealer will deliver it to you. California does now, but didn't prior to 2003.

Yeah, driving isn't exactly rocket science either. But you still need to pass a few tests before they'll let you do it.

The same process to driving should be applied to getting a gun.

They are making it too easy to drive a car, judging by all the idiots and maniacs* I encounter on the road everyday.

*Idiot - somebody that gets in your way. Maniac - somebody trying to get around you.

In Germany, it takes about 6 months to get a driver's liscence and about 2k(this might have changed,) but it's extensive. You think driving here is bad? Try South Korea or Sicily.

I was really impressed by the Philippines. I call it organized chaos, but the drivers take defensive driving seriously in traffic, as they double tap the horns and flash headlights to warn other drivers of their intentions to disregard their own safety. I didn't see many traffic cops, or fender benders, for that matter.

The few times we were there, didn't see much accidents, plus everyone seems to weave in and out of traffic quite easily. Now Sicily is another beast. At our INDOC, we were told that at least half of our indoc would either have a car accident, be robbed, or both. I had both happen within a month's time frame. :bonk:

13th and 15th.

Because they work to make sure all people are treated equal and are afforded the same rights.

Marvin? I not ask about the amendments to the US Constitution, referred to as the Bill of Rights.

I am talking about this Senate Bill, http://www.toomey.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=965

the same one that Evylin (pbuh) has written about, back at post #1.

------

The entire Bill is here:

http://www.toomey.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=968

without any of the amendments to it, listed.
