I cannot believe the personal ####### people post on these boards and then act dumbfounded when people respond unfavorably.

I have been sickened in the past (here and in other groups) the way American women prop up the men from MENA countries while insulting the MENA women.

It disgusts me how some people infantilize their men, talking about them like proud momma's at their first steps. Pride in a husband is one thing, acting like he is a boy is another.

I hate the orientalism syndrome that goes one, where the men are like exotic possessions, while at the same showing disdain for the culture and/or religion.

exactly! these are MEN, grown-up adults. Sure, it's hard to move to another country, but if your spouse can't touch the checkbook, a debit card, or the steering wheel, BECAUSE YOU WON'T LET HIM, or because he's babying out of it, don't be surprised when your statements are not met with praise and encouragement.
