Hi guys!

Last Friday, my US citizen wife and I went to the Santa Ana branch for our marriage interview. He believed that we were married but needed more evidence before he could approve my I-485 for permanent resident.

He requested more information on lawful admission into the US (Visas, stamps, plane ticket, etc)

I came into the states via plane through a New York airport in 1989 with my parents when i was four years old. The only problem is, my passport, a long with my parents, have been stolen and we don't have any evidence at all. The only things we have are the I-94 but he would not accept it. He said any information could help. I already told him that we got out passports from the US embassy in Khartoum, Sudan.

Here are my questions:

1) would the embassy in Sudan have such records of who they provided passports to?

2) anywhere I could look/call for any evidence of lawful entry?

Thank you so much for reading this. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Why do you have South Korea in your profile and are asking about Sudan?

How do you have the I-94 but not the passport? Did you request a new I-94?

Why would the US embassy in Sudan issue you a passport? US embassies only issue US passports, not foreign ones.

Most people are sleeping overnight so let people wake up and they will respond.

Do you mean your visa was issued in Sudan...? I would assume they would have a record, but I don't know.

Its possible the airline could have a record of your ticket, but I think it's a long shot. I would contact them though, it's probably worth trying.

In your case, I would just try contacting as many authorities as you can to try to get a record.

Day 0 - 2 May 2012 Mailed AOS package overnight delivery
Day 139 - 17 September 2012 Interview & APPROVED on the Spot!! :)
Day 145 - 23 September 2012 Received Green Card!

ROC - Eligible June 19 2014

Day 0 - 18 June 2014 Mailed ROC package via 2 day priority

Day 42 - 29 July 2014 Approval and Card Production Email

Thank you for the reply.

I was born in South Korea and moved to Khartoum Sudan when I was two years of age.

From Sudan, I came to the States.

Our original passport and I-94 was stolen. I have a new I-94 which shows when I entered the States but don't have stamps or anything.

I will try contacting the US Embassy in Sudan and also the airline company. Thank you!

It's a sad state of affairs when USCIS will not accept one of their own I-94s that they themselves created.

Very true. We spend a fortune getting a new I-94 that varifies lawful entry and the date entered. I wish I could get a refund from a useless, expensive document.
