I am trying to figure out where my I-130 paperwork. I got my conformation that it was at the NVC with my NOA1. I am trying to figure out were will it go next. How long is the average before I get my NOA2. The lock box it was sent to was in Arizona. I know that it can go to CSC but since I got my notice and paperwork that said it at NVC. I am confused what happen next and how long it will take to get my NOA2. Could someone help to give me a idea. Thanks

stand alone 130's are routed to a local office.

i am not sure where yours will go since you have several

you can expect your 130's to take a minumum 4 months and up to a year at this point.

it is highly doubtfull that you will be sent to CSC.

the first three letters of your NOA1 will tell you where it went.. CSC is a WAC number and NBC is a MSC number.

you said that you were being processed at NVC ?? that sounds strange since that is after you get your first round of approvals

i only found out where my petition was after calling and doing a check. i did not recieve any notice that the file was transferred in march when they sent it out to a local office

good luck!

Moved from NVC forum to USCIS Service Centers forum; topic is about USCIS operations.

**Organizer hat off**

An I-130 subitted to a lockbox is never routed to the NVC. Furthermore, the NVC will not be dealing with the file until after it has been approved by a USCIS adjudicator. Finally (and this is the semantics part), an I-130 is not an application form, it is a petition form.

NOA-1 date only 3/22/2013 - so wait 2 months from 3/22/2013, and call into USCIS, getting a Tier 2 Human.

You can learn (then) if it went to a local office or no, and learn which local office it is (then).

I not suggest to attempt to learn now, as your casefile hit the door, and was logged, only on 3/22/2013.

Give it two months, let it wind it's way through the system, and then call .

Since you are a MSC filer - is best to study the MSC tracker, over at msc list http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=3&scenter=4&option=3&sortby=2

Good Luck, Go Get Em ! (2 months from 3/22/2013, that is)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

when i spoke with a tier 2 they called it an application :)

The tier 2 misspoke, just sayin. I will go on record that some of the semantics I point out are trivial; however, in a process as bureaucratic as this where the tiniest thing can mean the difference between success and failure, it's important to have everything correct.

Tier 2's sometimes not correct, also. You found one - did you get name and badge #? I invite you to report that ISO for incorrect info-giving.

The divide between application and petition is vast - when chasing a CR-1 visa. When you adopt *our* terminology, you'll find much peace and harmony.

I looked at the paperwork and you are right at the bottom of the page it give the address as the National Benefits Center

and the number to National Customer Service Center for question. I am confused since my ID# start with MSC

Where are they now since it said on the USCIS site it in Review.

My husband live in Nevada, due his address my petition was forwarded to Reno field office, every petition applied after Aug,15/2012, were sent to NBC and then routed to the field office close to the petitioner address.

It will be processed there ...

Look in which state and city the petitioner lives, and then search what is the field office for that place.

It will not appear on your case status page.

The good thing I can say to you is that I got my petition approved 2 months after they get my case...

but if in your package you didn't include birth certificate of beneficiary, wait for a (RFE) Request For Evidence...once you sent it with translation, they make a final decision fast...

After I sent my RFE, took 14 days to get it approved.

The field office address will not appear on your case status page.

Keep checking your status case online, when your petition go to the field office they will send you a transfer notice, and they will update it online...

But they will not tell the name or address where it was sent.

If you didn't get any transfer notice, then your case can be adjucated at NBC same ...

Well ... good luck ! Hope you get your NOA2 as soon as possible ;) ;)
